    SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH!

Will you lot keep the pregnancy talk down pls! For the last year I've run our lives by what goes on on this board and MSE generally . . . i.e. :

Me: "We've got to do XYZ"
    OH: "Why?"
Me: "Because it says so on MSE"

If you lot go on about babies OH might get ideas - well it does say on MSE!!!

Seriously though good luck to you both - I look forward to meeting any future offspring at the celebratory party at the end of this challenge!

    Can I join please!!

I've been over at the how much can you save thread and its been going really well. Anyway I have a shared ownership flat and would like to pay off the 52k mortgage part of it as quickly as possible. Since there is only 22 months left of this challenge I would like to set myself a target of reducing it by £32,000. I'm about half way there so far.

    Game on!

  • I am new to this forum and I wish to congratulate everyone who is working towards paying off their mortgage. Well done and Keep going!

We are also paying off our mortgage early for the last 4 years. We have brought it down to £45,000 from £95,000. We planned to pay it off completely by 2012. So I cannot join in the challage but it is nice to know that there are people out there who are taking their financial freedom very seriousely.

  • welcome to the newbies and good luck to everyone whatever your goals are. I've just updated my sig and have paid off another £1k due to being busy at work all month and earning extra. I can't believe its come down so much. I had the financial advisor round this week to review the pension and I asked if there was anything else I should be doing...answer was no!

Done a few things through quidco and got a bit extra for opening accounts and moving some of the stoozepot around, it takes time before you get payback but everything adds up. Not sure when next update is but I'll keep an eye out. :)
