Thanks TallGirl & AnW'sMum for all your hard work. Wow, I've paid off 18% :j:j:j:j:j. Hadn't thought of it like that as my own, personal, challenge is to pay off 100% by the time I'm 50.... (47 months to go ) and am so far only at around 4% so this has cheered me up nicely :T:T:T:T.
Come on Lewis :j:j:j:j. How could we lose at rugby to a guy called Percy with blonde highlights.

Right this time I think I have got it right thanks to AnwsMum and all of you who have PM me. This is the final version for October 2007 - 6 months in the next one will be January 2008 which I hope is OK with you all.
Remember blue is active members who have updated me black is for the those who have not and they will be taken off in January.
PS: Glad to see old friends coming back in I would hate to loose people but to keep the chart and for it to be of any meaning I think we need to do some housekeeping and take inactive members off. They can always come back can't they. Look forward to the January 2008 chart but will take any updates in the meantime.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Just read this article in the Sunday Times - seems we are not the only ones wanting to be MF.

Hi TallGirl
No: 062 Reporting
I am pleased to report that I have £59,000 outstanding exactly with a view to paying off £50,000 in first week of Feb 2008!0 -
For this (revised) update I have looked at the figures based on two main groupings.
There are three groups:
1. active members, those who have given an update since July 2007 update currently standing at 65
2. inactive members, those who have not updated since July 2007 currently standing at 28
3. dormant members, those who have no given an update for the last two charts. These members have had their figures removed from the calculations so that we have a true reflection of what is going on. Currently standing at 25
So.......
The results for Active members only:
Based on the info DD and TG have in their charts and by my reckoning the total of mortgages plus pension pots other savings of the 65 active participants is £6,160,230.24 with a collective aim to reduce this by £2,673,687.87 during the course of the challenge.
So far the total amount repaid is £476,256.63 or 17.81% of total pledged. To be bang on track at the end of month 6 (ie end of September) we should have repaid 16.66% so collectively we are ahead of target by £30820.23 :j
The results for Active and Inactive members:
Based on the info DD and TG have in their charts and by my reckoning the total of mortgages plus pension pots other savings of the 93 active and inactive participants is £9,403,266.54 with a collective aim to reduce this by £3,899,565.99 during the course of the challenge.
So far the total amount repaid is £575,951.59 or 14.77% of total pledged. To be bang on track at the end of month 6 (ie end of September) we should have repaid 16.66% so collectively we are behind target by £73716.10
I am sure if we had had an update from the current 28 inactive members then we would collectively be a long way ahead of target. So if you are one of the 28 please PM Tallgirl with your figures so we can keep track of how everyone is doing. The next update will be January 2008.
I shall report each time in the same style. So anyone who did not report in this time and does not report for the next chart will become dormant and everyone that does report will be classed as active. I hope this all makes sense!
35 people so far are ahead of target so an extra pat on the back to you all and special mention to keren29 who has hit 100% of her target, benbenandme at 86.36% and catowen at 83.54% :j:T
Just for a bit of fun I have also looked at how many of these mortgages we would have paid off now if we started with the smallest active mortgage and worked towards the biggest! Those who would be MF now in this scenario would be: sparklymessygirl, sarahe, Mushy61, holograme, freedomgirl, pariskate, ailuro2, inkie, cazmanian_minx, jobbing_musician, ~daisy~,Pandora123, Desperate Housewife, Karmacat, amazamum, shazzany, hypno06 and lunasaver.
Well done to everyone, keep going 6 months down only 30 to go
Looking forward to the next updateOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Just wanted to let you all know I have not dropped off the face of the planet and am still around. So far I think I have only made about £200 extra to pay off but I wasn't really expecting to make anything much this year, so its better than nothing and more than I would have saved if it wasn't for this thread.

It's payday today so I've just been onto my online banking with Natwest to transfer my wages across to my regular account.
I got charged for something stupid in July and they agreed to waive the charges but then phoned up and told me that no sorry I was going to be charged anyway. Because I had no money in the account it meant that I had been hit with this first charge and a second charge straight away.
I have written my letter ready to reclaim bank charges already.
So I log in today and see YET ANOTHER EFFING £28 CHARGE at the end of September that I received no notification of and have no reason for being charged.
I'm going down to the bank in the morning to get this sorted. They are absolute thieving barmen and right now I am ready to rip some scrotes head off his shoulders. So let them be nice to me tomorrow or I am going to cause problems!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Arrghh - bad luck about the charges Kaz; with that 'tude you should definitely get your money back.
On a completely different note, I don't know if DD is alright - he appears to be losing it a bit. Nothing to discuss in detail in here, just pointing it out to anyone who keeps in touch with him, to see if he's ok.
Back to lurking, until I start my new mortgage

FC/DD/?? - there are no wolves... that's why I'm genuinely concerned about you. Call it the spirit of MSE.
I didn't say get "psychiatric support", I said talk to somebody. You come over as very aggressive (not very MSE) - and it feels like you're taking out past arguments out on innocent people.
Anyway, I'm only really lurking here to pick up tips for when I'm ready to MFi3 or whatever, so I'm not too bothered if people respond or not. %age changes look like a brilliant idea.
Now, get back to over-paying everybody!!

DD/FC/?? - just read your p.s. IT WASN'T A DIG. I AM NOT TRYING TO FOOL ANYONE. PLEASE STOP BEING SO AGGRESSIVE.
Also, I have been through a few bank charges and credit card reclaims, so I'm evangelical about supporting people getting their charges back.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0
