Customer service lady referred to a Senior who says the deal DOES apply, you don't need a marketing code, just go through the link on the web page and the bonus will appear on 5 Oct. I'm still going ahead with my account and expect them to honour it (makes note of date and time of phone call...)
Taka - did you get your £75? I got mine - woo hoo! :jMortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
Freedom Girl we are all really nice and I am sure you would not have any problems on here. It is easier for me to get PM's as I otherwise would have to read the posts and pick out who has updated and who hasn't. Sorry it would just take too long. Not sure what turning PMs off means but if you can send them I will make sure I don't reply to you.
All is well here, I realise many will get there mortgage statements late this month due to the postal strike so do we need to extend the deadline?
I don't mind just let me know if anyone can't make it. It must be really annoying only to see the balance once a year. I love my online banking and have it all in EggMoney Manager so I can see the plus and minus side.
Hopefully we will be able to pay a bit more off next month. DH is 45 and I am taking him to Dublin (£10 tickets thanks to Martin). Not booked a hotel yet but his mother asked if he wanted a large birthday present this year as she would give him £2k. He siad yes please and I will pay it off the mortgage. I was really surprised shows he is really behind his.
Bad news is that our fence needs repairing and the neighbours wants to pull down an old hedge and if that happens we will need more of it replaced instead of repaired. It will look nice though and we would have a larger drive.
Hope you are all well, off to update my chart.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Please somebody cheer me up!
My cat didn't come home last night so spent ages looking for her - had a gut feeling something was wrong as she's never missed a meal before. Got in tonight and not touched any food - shouted for her still not about.
Anyway after ringing around vets, shelters (in tears feeling very embarased at not being able to hold it together) I go upstairs again and this thing flops at my feet covered in blood oil and dirt.
Turns out she has been attached by animal rather than a car and damaged her back leg. Vet may have to ampute tomorrow - not sure they are goinf to let me know once they have x-rayed.
To be honest I'm just glad she's home - thought we'd never she her again so if she's minus a leg that's 3 more that I thought I'd have this time yesterday!!! (And to be honest it's no going to affect her for the 16 hours a day or so she lies on the bed! :rotfl: )

I'll still make the occasional post here.

Hi,
Re PMs turned off...
Nooooo...didn't want to imply that you were all really scary(though I'm not quite young enough to be fully comfortable with IMs and all that)
It's more that have got a quite potent software security centre (anti-spyware, virus, adware, malware, souped up firewall, website inspector - you name it it's on there - CA security centre v4.0) and it seems to take exception to loads of stuff. Was worried that people would be trying to contact me, stuff getting blocked, then people thinking I was a rude so and so for not replying ...
Oh - just realised - have I got confused between IM (with pop up windows) and PM ? Ah well - am clearly no longer young
Have turned PMs back on again (or will do once I've posted this message) - HTH
Thanks

Awww minimoocow - so sorry to hear about your cat. I'm sure she'll adjust well to sleeping on the bed with only 3 legs if necessary, but I've got my toes crossed (need fingers for computer) that it won't be necessary. Any idea what sort of animal attacked her? Fox I suppose. Our cat is getting very geriatric and we're expecting something similar one day. And when our cat DOES go, it's going to cause a barney because OH says we shouldn't have another one, and I can't imagine living without.........:(Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Yes my symphaty to to Minimoocow I hope the cat gets better. As you say at least it is home and you know where it is and they do adapt quite well to trauma. Mine is 11 years old and has just lost a chunk out of his ear fighting with the neigbours cat. I have to think what would happen when he goes. Hopefully yours will make a good recovery it is a amazing what the vets can do today.Save £12k in 25 No 49
