when I got the TV home I noticed a dent on the metal on the back,

Next time, I recommend that you reject any goods which are damaged.

Replacement or 50% discount would be my position for any physical damage that is more than a scratch.

Dent = impact = hidden internal damage.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • I did take it back the same day about dent in box, manager said they wouldn't replace it. Just dug the receipt out, and the manage has written that I can bring it back for exchange within the first year if a screen fault happens, as the box was dented when I bought it, does this give me any extra rights? Can another store say no?

You can always watch TV on your PC, Laptop, phone etc.

Yep. Register with http://tvcatchup.com/ and use them for live freeview streaming.

The answer has been given to you above several times.

You HAVE to have a repair. No other way. End of.

If you ask again I'll scream :rotfl:

Really pointless post. Exactly what difference is that going to make? They will and do follow the same process and would probably want to send the TV to one of their repair centres.

Automatic 5 year guarantee on televisions though, can save a lot of hassle in years 2-5.

If that was agreed then it is an additional term, above your statutory rights, and you should be able to exchange.

5 year guarantee or not, JL would still want to repair the TV first.

Why are you asking if you have the above in bold written?
