Yes, basically you need to be physically in the car as a starting point.0

Its amazing isn't it that when a private clamping company towed a car away for parking on private land, the police always seemed to say 'it's a civil matter'. Many, many times we used to see this before the rules changed.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
We now live in a ground floor flat (one up, one down) we have a shared driveway for access to our garage. We share our side with upstairs owner who needs it for access to their garage. Across the drive is same set up(so access for 2 cars onto drive, ourside-us and upstairs, their side, the upstairs an downstairs owners across the drive. The upstairs on our side has no vehicles and doesn't use garage and never has visitors, we have verbal permission to use all of driveway and park infront of their garage should we wish to or need to. Our garage and the other outside garage-on a line of 4, the drive is out to side of drive, need to come in facing middle garage then half way up drive go out to side to end up infront of our garage.
The other ground floor flat has taken to parking right outside their door. Meaning access for the other upstairs flat is through ourside of drive. I'm going to start parking in line with door to stop him using our half of drive as this guy can't drive worth a shtt. Would this be deemed a civil matter aswel?:eek:Living frugally at 24

Yes unless you resort to violence. Why not speak to him about it first?0

Make sure you don't squeeze past his car and leave a long, deep gouge in the paintwork, because I guess it's easily done if he's blocking the access. Be extra careful not to do this.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Also, be very careful about accidentally dropping a clout nail near the back wheel where it might not be noticed by the erring driver. This can happen if you are not careful. So be careful not to do this, as it is very inconvenient for the person who is causing you inconvenience.
Is it worth manslaughter/murder charges & a long spell in jail?

My daughter is a lessee in a block of flats. One car has been parked there for a number of months and the management company say there is nothing that can be done. On enquiry this particular car has been SORN'd. Now a second car has been parked that also has a steering lock - so no pushing it onto the public highway and leave it to the local authority to deal with.
I've Googled this problem and came up with a company that will hire out notices and proceed to contact unauthorised vehicle owners and charge them parking fees, taking them to court if necessary. The company do not charge the landowner for this, taking their earnings from recovered parking fees, however they do charge a 'rent' for the notices (I think t was in the region of £33 pa.)
Has anyone had experience of these companies? This one is called Flashpark.
Thanks,

Get yourself into the Parking Tickets Forum and read all about these jokers - There are plenty of threads that illustrate their methods.
Seriously, the whole private parking business is completely predatory and in truth most firms (with one major exception who largely chase default judgements) seldom do court as they nearly always lose.
Inviting them on to your property is usually the worst thing that can happen - Soon they will be after you for their pound of flesh. There are also a number of threads in the forum that discuss other ways to control parking on private land.0 -
Record any conversations you have with this driver.
Old washing machines can be difficult to move without a sack truck.:)
Try finding something here. https://www.tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/documents/taxi-driver-abstract-of-laws.pdf
