Park owner NOT paying GUARANTEED rentals to lodge owners

What sort of lease do the chalet-owners have on the land on which their chalet is built, by the way?
My question would also be, what happens to the chalets themselves if the company goes bankrupt - do they get sold to pay their business creditors or do the owners retain them but have to move them off the land?
Do the 'owners' really own them or is it more of a HP/timeshare thing? I don't know and I guess it's time for the OP to read all the small print in the contract, see a solicitor and start preparing for the worst .0 -
Are you sure about that? When one party breaches the contract, it doesn't necessarily mean the other party is free to ignore the parts that apply to it.
Consider a tenancy agreement - a landlord may fail in their legal and contractual obligation to maintain and repair the property but the tenant still can't get out of paying the rent.
Funny, I did ,my mate did and the court agreed with us. I managed 4 years without paying a penny to the rackmanite git of a landlord we had and fought off 3 ilegal eviction attempts during that time. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Christmas is often the time when a business fails as cashflow is at its worst.
yes but this guy has an asset -the park itself. as above this is a 100% you (possibly collectively with other owners) need representation and to go down the legal route. If the business does go belly up you'll need to formally put in for what you're owed to stand a chance of seeing any of what you're owed.
Plus it'll get some scrutiny onto the accounts and limit the potential for anythign further 'dodgy' going on0 -
Since then and when pushed he has said that he may be able to pay withing the next 2 months but no guarantee. All the while he is still running the Mullacott business plus other sites, paying his staff and no doubt collecting the site fees that are due in January 2013.
It has now been implied that our rental agreement comes to an end in 2 weeks and there is no commitment from the park owner to renew. Interestingly we are not allowed to rent out our lodge independently as he does not want several different management companies on site. If we want to sell the lodge we would also get kicked off the scheme as they do not want viewings when holiday makers are staying - would you not just show people around when there is no one staying?
The below is an interesting link as we bought the lodge on the premise that this is what we were buying into. Much of it has not transpired.

We are now determined to hold out for our rentals, sell the lodge and get as far away from Mullacott Park as possible.
Good luck selling. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Interested in comments from various members who mention Wilson Leisure Developments (Mullacott Park) as a relative is experiencing severe problems with same. It would be helpful for interested parties to communicate.0

"Allowed to still advertise" - who should stop them?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Well isn't it some sort of misrepresentation to say it has guaranteed rental income when it has not. Surely trading standards would be interested0
