For your wedding photographer?
i'm looking for a photographer for about 3 hours, all images on disc and no album, i'm looking so far at about £500, it just seems like such a massive amount of money seeing as me and my family are amateur photographers ourselves but don't want the hassle of doing it on my wedding day!

Thanks Steph, i've just sent him an email to see what his charged are. I live in Bristol and it says he will travel all over the UK, so fingers crossed!0

We paid £2k, which considering our whole wedding came in at 7k was a massive chunk of the budget.
It's the one thing I didn't want to scrimp on and I'm so happy we didn't - I love just lying on the sofa at night watching the wedding pics scroll through (we got all photos & the pre-wedding shoot pictures on 4 digital photo frames which are mounted into an acrylic frame). There isn't a single picture that I don't like from the 600 or so and I grin from ear to ear when I look at them.
With photography I think more important than the cost is that you feel comfortable with the photographer, that you like their work and trust them to do a good job.0 -
I paid around 2k, too...This covered pre-shoot, two photographers for the whole day (around 12 hours, probably), DVD, album design, big shiney album, parents albums, guest book and travel.
Overall, although it was a lot of money, I felt it was excellent value.0 -
we paid £500 inc Vat for a cd with photos on it:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120

I'm paying £650 for the £750 package because I've booked his wife to video our wedding there will be two photographers on the day and 2 videographers so for both it's costing £1,150
Both of their work is fantastic

£500 seems pretty cheap to me.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

That'll be 3 hours taking photos, and probably 18-24 editing them.
Our photographer cost £2.5k and was worth every single penny.0 -

I'm a wedding photographer and the main body of the work comes afterwards in the sorting through, editing, tweaking, effects etc. For a 3 hour wedding shoot I would probably be looking at a min of 20 hours (probably more) editing hundreds of photos. If you break that down then the fee isn't that high.0
