Has everyone had a nice weekend? I took the kids to a local indoor play centre today £9 to get in and spent £10 ish on lunch (you can't take your own food in) but I did smuggle drinks and snacks in!
Went with a friend who has similar circumstances to me so we had discussions about frugal living and cooking!
I am going to blitz my house tomorrow and work out what else needs getting for xmas, its also my sisters birthday tomorrow and I haven't got her anything yet. Also need to pay for school dinners (once a week for 2 DSs) and breakfast club which I haven't done yet. I think I'm doing well then I realise I'm not! Its also a bookfair at school this week. I am refusing to buy overpriced books, I am hoping to avoid it! Will take them to the library.

  • I will have to reschedule my Jump start week of using my time wisely until next week. Off work today with a horrendous cold and sinus headache. Slept most of today. So much for my plans!

dizzy lizzie - re your clutter. Do you have a car boot sale soon near you? If not why not put onto ebay.

  • Hi Kerry. I think there's a table top sale on soon near us so might go there but I think it's about £12 charge, that seems quite a lot to me, mind you I've no idea what car boot sales charge nowadays.
Meanwhile it's still there in a pile next to the sofa, hidden out of sight though! I've got a list of things I need to do and just keep procrastinating. I must admit I'm not at my most energetic in Winter so that doesn't help.
How are you doing with your decluttering?

Hi dizzy lizzie, the table top sale charge seems quite a lot to me to. Used up most the toiletries that I wanted to use up this month. Have put aside some things in the corner of the living room that I wish to get rid of. Seemed to have managed to get some more toiletries into the flat. But they were freebies, will make use of them and at least they have saved me money. They will take me into the New Year, so really cannot complain.

Hope you manage to sort out things in due course. Sending you hugs.

I think I actually have my proper Light Bulb moment! I have only really realised that even paying £5 more a month on my mortgage will reduce my time by 5 months.
I don't have any interest debt other than mortgage, so I'm thinking i may as well pay just over the minimums just now and pay a bit more to mortgage as well as some to savings.
Seriously, why is this only just now going 'bing' in my head?

I will look into what to pay and when more, when I have more time.

    Hope all is well :)

Try increasing your vit c intake, boosts your 'wee fighters' which means recovery is quicker/attacks the 'baddies' before they can really take hold - btw Kiwi has more vit c than oranges!

    Get better soon :)
