O2 genie text balance question

That's the normal annoying behaviour that I have on my (o2) k750i too... It can't be turned off as far as I know. (And I've checked every setting!)0

my mate had the same thing with his old t630.
i posted a solution ages and ages ago, if i find the post i will post it in here0 -
Just call up customer services, they can switch it off. You can still get the balance by putting in *#10# and pressing call. Tesco Mobile does the same, and can also be switched off in the same way. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Did this for my mum last week, as others have said you have to call customer services and ask for them to turn it off. Took two calls though, the first lady obviously just didn't bother to turn it off.Sigless0

I work for Tesco mobile who run off O2 and always turn off balance notifications for customers, so whoever you spoke too was obviously either confused or lazy..Bank Charges won £4,800 in 2006 From LloydsTSB

Hello,
You can email o2 about this via: http://www.o2.co.uk/help asking them to remove
the "balance notifications" from your account.
You will get a reply back saying something along these lines...
"Thanks for emailing us about removing the balance notifications from your account.
I've made the necessary changes to your account.
The balance notification text messages are system generated and we'll not be able to guarantee that you'll not receive these notifications in the future."
Since asking for this account change I haven't had any notification messages.
Hope this helps guys and gals!
