Sorry to be a doom and gloom merchant but chalk it down to experience and forget it. Paypal will take the money back.

I got done a couple of years ago by a chump who sold several large flat TVs he did not have and bought as much as he could through buy-it-nows with his paypal balance until everything started to unravel.

I got an email from paypal 5 days later saying don't post, but that was too late somebody pays you and you post it. Anyway in the end it all got charged back and I lost £150 of in car video kit !! Best thing was I'd already withdrawn the money so just thought "2 fingers to paypal" never use it again and I've got my money !! WRONG WRONG WRONG, how many weeks did you think until they told me they were passing the debt to a debt collection agency !! Not Many !!

I still use paypal now as it's so convenient, but really know its limitations. Only post instantly if the address is confirmed and the you are eligible for sellers protection. If these criteria are not met then wait until the last possible moment to post the goods and always do it so you can track (for expensive items anyway).

But paypal and collection is just a big no no !! You automatically are not covered by sellers protection as it is your word against theirs !!

I agree with the average sentiments of this thread. I don't think you have much chance of getting any joy from those fools at paypal (in fact any dispute that is opened seems to be little more than an automated email exchange system) and they are almost certain to side with the buyer irrespective of whether you sent via a tracked delivery method or not (as happened to me a year or so back).
This is the reason i stopped using paypal.
