I shouldn't have read this thread!

Decided to be nosy and see what people round here put on there, and have found too many adverts that make me cross!

The number of puppies free to a good home because they are too boisterous is scary.

I'm not surprised she's removed her advert and isn't replying to any messages after it's been published and people have been almost encouraged to send her abuse.

If anything has happened to that dog then it's on your heads. She could have found the dog a far better home but because some of you couldn't go through your day without showing how superior you are, and sending abuse to and about her, the dog may well have lost the chance of that home.

Maybe in future you should consider the welfare of the animals in question rather than your own selfish need to show everyone how much better you are than the 'scum'. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I don't think anyone should be ashamed, she clearly is scum if it's a case of ' off you go loyal dog, new puppy is here'. The only person that should be ashamed is her !!

I'm sorry to say I agree with this; she has obviously taken the advert off because of all the abuse she has received. By all means try and tell her what a bad, irresponsible dog owner she is - she won't listen but at least you'll feel better. If you look on facebook, gumtree, preloved etc this poor dog is just one of many. I've stopped looking because it breaks my heart and I cannot help any of them.

I think perhaps you should have left your comments until AFTER the dog was picked up, the OP is right, you just don't know what she has now done with the dog, she may have just dumped it fearing more abuse if she places it on any other sites.

What does that make the people who instead of offering help or even waiting until the dog is in a better home, send abuse and encourage others to do the same? And to hell with the consequences for the dog.

They're no better than she is. Actually, worse because they claim to know and be better.

I don't blame people for expressing their feelings, you say the dog could have got a nice home, that's true but it could have also ended up being used as a bait dog. That's the reality of ' free to a good home'.

Spreading around someone's contact information and telling others to 'give her hell' is not expressing their feelings - it's pathetic bullying. The actions of a coward.
