sounds like it went well, regarding a criminal record I dont think the job centre would know unless the applicant had declared it when they signed on, and even they probably wouldnt be able to tell your friend as it could be against the data protection act, I wouldnt actually know how you would find out.My friend interviewed the new deal candidate today, things went really well, so they will most prob. be offered the position. My friend spoke to the new deal officer, who is going to make sure that the candidate is not worse off after the 6 month trial.
All that really mattered here was that this person was not in a worst case scanario after my friend hired them & the £75 subsidy wore off, thanks!
