Co-Op prices scam

  • This has happened to me on numerous occassions at my local store but what really bugs me is that their scales also don't work properly half the time, £2.66 for a single leek the other day. Have pointed out that's it's illegal but they don't seem that bothered. Always check my receipt as soon as I've got it in my hand.
  • I refuse to shop at our local co op for being so stupidly overpriced for essentials.
Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt! :D:D
  • In my experience, I've notice ten times more errors that my local Coop than anywhere else I shop. Not sure if this is down to poor procedures or what, but countless times I've paid full price for something, only to remember later it was meant to be on special offer.

Shops can be prosecuted for this though. I read in my home-town's newspaper that a local supermarket had been taken to court and fined for a number of prices which were lower on the shelves than they were at the till.
