  • Other than sitting on the laptop doing "admin" stuff all day whilst nursing my hangover, no flying has been done.

I booked DS a hair appt for after school, so collected him and returned a couple of items to N3xt and A5da. He's such a show-off "Mum can you take a picture of my hair so I can update it to Bookface!" Narcissus he most definitely is!

Using up a few bits for tea tonight so sausages, mash with onion and mushroom gravy nom nom nom.

I may try and move my butt later, but with no central heating, I'd much prefer to just sit here in the lounge with the real fire to be honest. Perhaps I'll get laptop admin completely up-to-date, otherwise it'll be next year. Actually, that's decided it - I'm going to sit here in the warmth and do just that.

Have a lovely evening - I'll keep popping in for a natter.

    TMD xx

I am SO GLAD I won't be working Friday. Someone had the 'brilliant' idea of all the staff dressing up in santa outfits, complete with beards (ladies too) to go and greet the children on the playground in the morning! I have, rather evilly, said I might go past - and giggle. :rotfl:

I am shattered. One day to go then I can start working on the mess the house has descended in to!

    More frogs eaten.

Hospital car park has been reduced to a 1/4 or 1/3 of the size. It was chaos and I had taken 2 children out of 2 different schools so didn't want to rebook the appointment.

    Sold some toys/books

Congratulations to your OH ( new job) GI

Evening! Been wrapping presents! Done all the kiddies piddly bits. Mostly craft stuff so some have been bundled ie stickers with books etc. and I've separated out the Xmas eve bits (books, pj's, choc reindeer and one pressie) which I'm not wrapping. Some of their presents are to share. So I've made my job a bit easier.
Just need to find the bike pump!

Working from home tomorrow, with mr t delivery coming at lunchtime. Still haven't sorted the playroom, but they've been at nursery, so not been in there for a couple of days. Might have a spare hh for a c in there...

    Lovely festive evening -

Was making muffins when I heard proper carol singing outside. There was a group, in Victorian costumes with an accordion and other instruments singing in the street. Collection for the local hospice. I've made the Christmas Pudding and everybody has bought some silver to put in and made their wishes, just need to stay awake until at least midnight to let it cook!

Need to finish my cassis at the weekend.

List done. Two orders to place for DS2 and then to the ironing board and uni Chal.

I haven't got DH's lurgy but its developing into a very chesty cold, just what I need for Christmas. A red nose to match Rudolph!

Decluttered my first mamm0gram today. I found a lump last week and am very pleased to find out it is just a cyst.

DS3 needs to have an MRI scan on his hip.

DH's appt with his consultant re his ear op has been cancelled.

I saw DS3's play. It was quite dark and I don't mean the lighting!

Hugs, congrats and spoons to all who need them. Battery is fading...
  • Good evening :D

I have just caught up on the fred - but have forgotten it all now! :o Thanks for all the congrats for DH. He went into work today and handed in his notice. He is a bit subdued TBH. I think, as he has worked in the same place for 27 years, it is all a bit scary moving on. His bosses were a bit shocked when he resigned. He then went into the gents and dropped his phone down the toilet!!:rotfl: By accident! Luckily it is a work phone - and ancient. they wouldn't have done anything with it anyway. He has popped into town & got himself a £9.99 PAYG phone. DD1 said it was very 'retro' :rotfl:

Not much flying here. Managed to put on the DW & wash up. Went to toddler group this morning, then had a walk on the beach & a paddle in the sea :D (with wellies on, of course!) with the dog. He loves it down there :) It was a lovely afternoon - there was even a hint of warmth in the sun.
I managed to submit my assignment last night. I am not that happy with it, but it is done now. I now need to concentrate on getting ready for Christmas!! I am going to town tomorrow with Miss T & DD1. I don't usually take minding kids to town if I can help it, as it doesn't seem like fun, but needs must :( Roll on Friday!
I may even have a look at the lists tomorrow :o DD1 is making biscuits with Miss T, so I may catch up on a few bits then.

    Night night all x
  • Happy retirement PenelopePenguin.:j My Mum and Dad began to wonder how they ever had time for work once they took early retirement. Are you going to look for something else, or do you think you'll call it a day now?

I'm only 49, so if something comes up I may well be tempted, but just now I'm now looking :D DH and I have "big plans" for the next few years, so I'm hoping to work on them for the next few months - so watch this space ;)
Need to finish my cassis at the weekend.

If I bring a glass, can I help you finish it
I'll wave at you as I go by today - I'll be the one with my hair standing on end as I will have just finished working at our school Christmas lunch!

I saw you and sent :hello::wave: back!

Off to bed now, so I'll join you all early in the morning :kisses3:
