But a tool where you could queue auctions would be useful. Such that if you don't win auction X it would automatically bid on auction Y, and then auction Z if you didn't win auction Y.
But it could all end in tears if you were outbid on auctions X & Y and went on to win auction Z, then found that you had also won X or Y (or both) as the high bidder had retracted their bid before the auction had ended.
It would also mean that you might not be able to take up a 2nd chance offer if the winner of X or Y didn't pay.0 -

The way I viewed it would be that the system wouldn't bid on auction Y until auction X had actually finished. And then it wouldn't bid on auction Z until auction Y had finished. That would mean that bid retractions would not be an issue, particularly if the system sniped the auctions.
It's true that you wouldn't be able to take advantage of second chance offers if such a system meant that you had already auto-bid on another auction. But I think that the added convenience of automated multi-auction bids would easily compensate for this. I've only ever had one second chance offer, which I ignored as I didn't like the bidding pattern of the "winning" bidder, nor how fast the second chance offer came. And clearly a system such as I suggest wouldn't be compulsory, it would be something that buyers could choose to use if they wanted to.0 -
I think one of the sniping sites offered such a system but only to paying customers, not as part of their basic service.0
