I really doubt someone will come knocking on your door if you are doing it in your living room, if you are a publican or club owner, then you are at risk of a big fine, but that big fine is still probably cheaper than putting sky in your pub for a year.0

Lol its illegal to view it using online p2p streaming sites inc ESPN (which is only legal in other countries).
It was all over the bbc a while ago and all threads with links to them are removed :P Dont see why something perfectly legal would have that happen heh[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

If you can pick up any TV channel on satellite and it is not encrypted you can watch it.
If you can pick up any TV channel on satellite and it is encrypted you can watch it if you have a "pukka" viewing card.
If you can pick up any TV channel on satellite, from outside of the UK, and it is encrypted and if you have a "hacked" viewing card, you are committing a civil offence. ie: the operator of that channel could take you to court. This is very unlikely, it is easier for them to keep changing their encryption codes.
If you can pick up any TV channel on satellite, from inside of the UK, and it is encrypted and if you have a "hacked" viewing card, you are committing a criminal offence. ie: the operator of that channel could get the police to take action, and you could cop a very heavy fine.
The encryption system used by Sky is the most secure one around - and nice Mr Murdoch knows it.
A few years back the details of an encryption system used by many European broadcasters were leaked to hackers on the internet, overnight many of their channels became "free" to all and sundry. The source of this leak was "allegedly" traced through Israel (where else ?) to Mr M*****h's organisation !
Some did buy Murdoch's system, others refused and either went elsewhere or beefed up their existing systems.
It's a hard world out there !0 -
