in Water bills
Hello,
I am hoping someone can give me some advice please...
I pay about £26 a month to Portsmouth water and the last bill I received from Southern water was for £96 - I think this bill was for 6 months but can't remember
Does this seem high to you?? I live on my own in a one bedroom flat
Thanks

Portsmouth water is the cheapest in UK.
The £96 is for sewerage.
Presumably you don't have a meter? If not the charges are fixed .
There isn't much point in asking if the bill is too high when you don,t know what period it covers.

Thanks,
Portsmouth water is paid monthly, as it's a fixed charge do you think I might benefit from a water meter?0 -
Six month bill or twelve month?0

Since a meter can be disregarded within the first 12m of installation, it's a no- brainer even if it doesn't save you (which it probably will). Not all flats can be metered though, if not you can request assessed billing instead. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
