Aldi do miniature whisky set for about £6, which contains 3 bottles.

The Hobbit book £3.85 Amazon free delivery and maybe tickets to see the film.

I've just seen Jack Daniels little sets on the tescos website; thanks for the idea :)
  • So far my OHs has:

    White toblerone
    Box of malteasers
    Bag of midget gems
    Lego minifigures
    Mojito flavour soap
Novelty fridge magnets and drinks coaster
    Lion bars
Mystical fire (throw them on fire/chimnea to make pretty colour flames!)
    Mr Grumpy socks

Need to add a small book if I can find one, a satsuma and a lump of coal ;)
  • I actually really like the first idea here.
    The 12 dates of Christmas
DATE NIGHT PACKAGE FOR SOMEONE YOU LOVE

    Buy/make: Make it. Cost: £5
For a winning gift that will not only make someone's Christmas, but the whole year ahead too, try 'the twelve dates of Christmas'.

All you need to do is plan a date for each month of the new year for you and your loved one, be it a picnic in the park, a late night at the free Natural History Museum or a candlelit bubble bath.

Once you've planned your dates, write each activity on a card and pop it in an envelope (labelled for each month). Place them all in a decorated gift or shoe box with an explanation of how it all works.
Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out
