and another quick question - in windows vista when I was online I could see the little clock on the toolbar but I don't seem to be able to do this if I go to the internet via the page with all the squares on
now we all know cyber time is definitely different to 'normal ' time and I really need to keep my eye on the clock otherwise dinner etc is late , is there a way of doing this ??0 -
The clock is still on the task bar in the desktop, have you got it on autohide maybe?
Right click anywhere on the desktop then click personalise. Then click on taskbar.
If you are in the desktop, mouse to bottom right then mous mouse up to wards settings a dirty big clock pops up.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

I hate Windows 8.
OK to move the calculator to the taskbar, go to the metro (start )screen. Right click on the calculator tile, a menu pops up at the bottom of the screen, click on pin to task bar and Robert becomes a close relative.
I wouldn't worry about the apps they are all rubbish stick to stuff that runs on the desktop. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
