Which broadband service is best?

We currently have a BT phone line and AOL broadband. We are out of contract on AOL and would like to move away from them as the connection often gets interrupted.
We are prob average users, mostly Internet browsers but would like to start using sky on demand to get the bbc I player so need a package that would allow this. Not keen on moving phone to sky yet as we are only just moving from cable to sky tv and want to see what they are like first.
Thanks v much.

If you can get Sky LLU broadband at your adress thats the way to go.
Otherwise check on Samknows for the other LLU operators at your exchange and look for an unlimited contract.
Why did you move from cable?
FYI If the disconnections are line related changing your ISP wont fix them. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Thks v much. We moved from cable because of the cost of VM. We got one of martin's half price deals and even without that would save about £70 a year.
I read somewhere that sky phone expensive?
How do we find out if it's the phone line that is causing the dropping?
Thanks for your help.0 -
When you get a drop out, does the internet light go out on the router, then flash as it resyncs?
Are you using a wireless connection, if so connect using ethernet and see if the problem goes away.
Do a quiet line test.
Plug a wired phone in and dial 17070 and select option 2. Listen for pops crackles etc. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
