Oh right, the DWP you mean?dont no if they let me..i currently am paying them £16 a week for a loan i had and i am now up to my loan limit.. i had thought of it.
I think the maximum is £1000 you can borrow from them. I know that's what I was told a year back.
Do you know what you owe? Maybe find out for sure, give them a quick call?:: BCSC #71 but now discharged! ::0 -
Anything I said here of any use? Not paying stuff for a month or so? Asking for a CL from the DWP?
I know it feels pointless now but you'll find a way. (((hugs))):: BCSC #71 but now discharged! ::0 -

I know how it feels, I understand, I've been there and infact I'm still technically there as I'm not BR yet (my appointment is 10th May) but honestly, don't be scared, they need you more than you need them and they know it! That's why they try and scare you into paying up and paying more.
I actually like winding them up now, let them go through their spiel about payment and how if I don't pay, they'll persue me to the ends of the earth and take me to court and I just tell them I don't much care and that I'm going BR and they can shove it. Then put the phone down. Gives me a laugh now I'm the one in the driving seat for once. I'm not proud of going BR but I'm not ashamed of it either and the way they've treated me, I think it's quite their just desserts that I now have the upper hand in communication.
What's the worse they can do? Keep calling - just don't answer. Keep writing - don't open them until you feel able to. Take you to court - as long as you are paying, there is nothing they can do and it's highly unlikely they'll spend money doing that.
If you do miss a payment or two, just either don't answer the phone or if they are rude, tell them you are ending the call. You can tell them you are saving for BR, they probably won't believe you or will keep harassing you but stand firm in the knowledge you are doing what you need to and it'll be over soon.

Hi Lucky
Honey I really feel for you. Have you gone to the CAB, that was where we started trying to sort out debts (we ended up bankrupt 9 years ago) they are really good and it doesn't matter if you don't have £100 per month to pay debts with.
What size shoes does your daughter need - I have lots of old shoes my now 7 year old had - was keeping them for my 22 month old to grow into - but your need is greater than mine and I will happily post them to you.
let us know how you get on0
