Extending my wifi signal over 300m distance?

My allotment is only 300m away from our house. There is one other house between ours and the allotment site (in terms of line of sight). After that its just a garden and then the allotments so open land.
Our wifi router is a sky sagemcom router and is positioned at the front of our house in the lounge.
Is it possible to extend my wifi coverage range in these circumstances?
if so, what sort of antenna and/or other equipment would I require?
Is there anything else I should be aware of?
Finally if it is possible this would also double up and work 40m towards the back of our house/garden where I would like to setup a home office. We currently just about get a signal about 10m into the garden, but I want to clever the other 30 if possible. Can one solution do both things?

Are you able to attach any form of antenna. Not looked for router specs as there is several models of sky sagecom router.
If not able to attach antenna, TP-Link do an external high gain access point. Claims to be able to go upto about 9 miles or with further antenna attached upto 30 miles. Never used one, so don't know how easy to set up.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
The way to increase range on WiFi that much is by using directional aerials. The range is extended in one direction at the cost of range in others so you aren't going to get improved range off the back of the antenna for sure. With a home office you'll be running mains cable so you may as well either run ethernet at the same time or try homeplugs.
You can buy 2.4GHz yagis on eBay quite cheaply and a pair should work OK over 300m although there is certainly no guarantee with a house in the path. You'll need a router which can take an external antenna and make sure you have the correct connector on the antenna you buy or get an adapter at the same time. At the far end you'll either need a dongle that has an external antenna connector or a WiFi range extender with the same proviso on connectors.0 -
Could you install the router higher up at the rear of the property?.0

The home plugs to the office would work and that gets around the opposite sides of the house.
With the yogi solution why would 2 be required? Have I incorrectly assumed that I can send the signal over the 300m so that I can simply pick it up with my ipad or phone etc? I don't really want to have to add a power requirement to the shed if I can help it. I guess I want to create a hotspot like you might find in a city centre?
Would the to link thing in the post above do that with its huge range?0 -
And are there any issues about one thing producing a signal this strong? I'd obviously lock it down security wise, but are there any legal implications or others?0 -
Don't take this the wrong way but why would you need a internet connection in your allotment.
Gardening to me is meant to be a relaxing pastime a time I can unwind a bit.Call me when you're sober0 -
For all sorts of reasons.
Sometimes I just want to check I'm doing something right on the allotment.
Sometimes I just want to stream radio via my phone but not have to do it using my data allowance on my phone (headphones so as not to annot everyone else).
In the summer it will be nice to be able to go down there and do work and allotmenting stuff (I work internationally and have customers across many time zones, and they work on different days to us, so it would be useful for tht too). If I can get this to work then I would be able to change my scenery from the office at the back of the garden, the house or the allotment. Working from home is good, but it can be pretty boring at times. With the lotty so close to me it possibly becomes a reality.
And many more...
Edit: and each to their own. Sometimes gardening is relaxing, at other times its a complete ball ache and I hate it!0 -

Internet in an allotment, that is interesting but seems a nice way to brose the net while watching the crops grow lol.0
