I booked first class return with BA using airmiles to Brazil, Flew there first, flew back economy from Brazil.
BA pay less taxes for economy seats (They take up less space in the pollution machine/plane) to the government therefore I am chasing for the difference in taxes back not getting anywhere!
Any help or advice is appreciated have tried emailing the chairman
keith.x.williams@ba.com
But nothing is happening always nice on phone never do anything?
HELP HELP HELP?

As noted above, taxes is not even close to sufficient.0 -
Why did you fly back in economy?
The tax for the return flight may not have been any less in economy, as the premium you refer to applies to ex UK flights only (unless Brazil has an equivalent tax?).0 -

Several FT posters also post on MSE, so it is not a waste of time! However, at present we do not have enough information to offer advice on.0 -
If I had first class tickets there is no way I would have sat in economy!
What did they say at checkin?travelover0 -

Agreed, and also why would you just ask for difference in tax? Nothing adds up.0

75% of the fare for a downgrade is EU rules - doesn't matter that you paid in miles.
However, as others point out this story of a triple downgrade doesn't make sense. Also worth remembering that Rio is served by a three class plane (ie no first class).Legal team on standby0
