I'll also say get a kindle cover.
I had a Kindle for a gift and then I had to shell out for a cover... a pink leather one from Tescos.
  • I've been having a think about this, and you're clearly putting a lot of thought and effort into the presents for her. I think if I knew about the amount of work my Hub had put into a gift, I'd feel that was incredibly romantic. :) On to practical gifts though ...

My first thought is towards coffee. Does she prefer lattes, capuccinos, or plain coffee? A cafetiere set with some posh or flavoured coffee, along with some of the different flavoured sugar syrups might work out. We buy the Monin Cinnamon one, and also the hazelnut ones to go into the coffee machine we use. The coffee machines themselves (Tassimo, Senseo, etc) are a little out of the price range, but you can jazz up existing coffee with a little something sweet. I've also used the syrups in hot chocolate and that was an unexpectedly good find.

I think a Kindle cover is a good idea too. I was given a Kindle last year, and the most gorgeous plum leather case to go with it. I love mine. :)

I also had a look on a certain Rainforest sounding website and they have Ministry of Sound fragrances - difficult to get an idea of what they smell like in the first place as to whether your oh will like them, but it's another suggestion.

Chocolates are a good suggestion too, and you can get some lovely boxes. I saw a giant Walnut Whip somewhere, and I love the idea of a 4 pack of Curly Wurlys! My sister sometimes makes me a chocolate hamper, which is just a nice box or basket filled with one of each of all the Christmas novelty chocolates (reindeer, Santas, etc) and the nicer looking slim bars - as she knows I have a thing for the blue-wrapped chocolate bars from Lidl! It lasts for ages - the last one lasted me until Easter, and you could make it slightly retro so it's filled with childhood favourites. :D

My final suggestion is less £-related. A cup of coffee in bed on Christmas Morning. Being woken up with a cuppa and a kiss at a reasonable time puts a real smile on my face all day. :)

    Hope that helps.

What does your wife do when she's reading? Does she snuggle up on the sofa? Perhaps a lovely snuggly blanket would be a nice idea with some cosy slipper socks? Or if she's a nibbler a box of chocs, bag of peanuts, a few tubes of pringles? A bottle of wine, coke, her favourite tipple? You could turn your already got gift (which is brill) into a 'reading' hamper? Then you get over how much thought you've put into it as well as keeping to her interests. :)

As you can see us women are all individual, and what one would like another would hate. You know your wife. I would say go with your instincts.

Marks and Sparks had the Giant Walnut Whip, but it's a little deceptive, that it has the normal ones inside, not actually a "true" giant Walnut Whip. Was quite disappointed when I looked at it.
