Please, please cause as much problems as you can for them.
I'd agree with that. Just try claiming for things they have messed up, they often don't want to know or try and fob you off.
They also employ too many criminals.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
I think Royal Mail do a fantastic job for the cost we pay. My only 'gripe' is that deliveries aren't as often as they used to be. At work the mail is arriving between 9.30 and 10 a.m since last week. (we usually receive half a sack full around 8.50 a.m.) When the boss rang to ask why they said they'd laid off the night shift so the day staff were having to do more work and morning post would be arriving later from now on.0

To be fair, we don't pay for a morning delivery - we pay for next day delivery usually. If you want a morning delivery then we have to use a service that costs extra. We have just all got used to getting our mail in the mornings.0 -

You should here what they're gonna do next! No early mornings, all staff will be working practically a 9-5, with rurals ending at 6pm!!

Really? Please show me where else you can get the services they offer for the same price?
That's because Royal Mail enjoy the luxury of being a state controlled monopoly. If other companies were handed those massive resources on a plate I'm sure they could do a better job for less.0 -

State controlled monopoly - Aren't they a regulated industry? Postcomm ring a bell?
Other companies were handed those massive resource....could do a better job - pretty sure TNT et al have equal access to the RM depots etc, but if you mean hand it over lock stock & barell, then yes, if I was given £7Bn of assetts I'm pretty sure I could make more money than they do. Soon stop taking stamped mail or any residential, stop deliveries at the weekend or anywhere outside an urban area. Charge what I like. Simple really. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

Those that have been licensed and are allowed actually use most/part of the RM network anyway. Also, RM are the only company who will deliver to 100% of UK addresses, when/if the others are allowed to deliver for under 50p then you can be sure they will pick and choose where they deliver to and will add a hefty surcharge to out lying areas, where they will probably sub contract to the work to RM anyway.
P.S. I like your avatar, pure class0 -
Out of the three postmen that have worked on my estate for the last couple of years, only one of them wasn't crap. If there's anything that requires do anything other than shoving letters through the postbox, they don't bother. Recorded delivery? Shove it through without a signature. Parcel that won't fit? Leave it on the doorstep? Needs a signature? Sod it, leave it there anyway.
My postie this morning really took the cake, though. I heard him coming and looked out of the upstairs window to see if he'd got the Amazon parcel I was expecting. He had. He tried putting it through the letterbox, but had some difficulty, so I was going downstairs to open the door, but looking through the porch window, he'd gone. He hadn't rung the bell, and there was no sign of the parcel in my porch, just a few letters. So where had it gone?
Opening the door provided the answer. He'd been unable to get the parcel through so he'd left it sticking in the air, the end gripped by the letterbox, the remaining 9/10 of the parcel protruding for all to see. So not only had he left it outside, he'd left it where anyone could see it and steal it.0 -
