T-mobile Full Monty Plan no tethering!

Hi
New to these boards but a very old customer of t-mobile (now EE).
I upgraded to a new full monty plan in August as I kept running out of GBs for my usage via pc. The rep advised strongly that i move to this new plan that at the time allowed you to tether - so i thought great!
Until recently when i have no longer been able to get on the net (via pc) with it so I called up. They told me t-mobile stopped this in August/Sept and never told anyone which is why you can no longer tether etc. Surely they should honour their legal obligations under the contract (even if there is a loop hole for them in there!) and I am sure there is something under the SASG Act / Distance selling Regulations!!!
Can anyone help or has anyone else been burned by this underhand move on T-mobiles part???
I want to complain effectively.
