Can anyone help please? I spend hours on this web site last night searching for cheap flights to Orlando for next April 2008, unfortunately it was late and I didn't save this particular web site to my favourites (BIG MISTAKE)!! I have checked loads of flights for a 2 week duration and they are coming out at about £634, whereas last night I found one for £336 plus £90 taxes, departing 5th April 2008 from Gatwick. I cannot find this anywhere now!! Its not with travelcitydirect. Can anyone help or does anyone know who I could could get a flight to Orlando for about £450? I know with a lot of the airlines you cannot even check availability for next April yet. If anyone can help I would be sincerely grateful! Thank you

Can't you wait for a little later in the year to book, don't forget open skies will be launched in April 2008, I'm sure that better deals will be had the closer you get to this date. If you can save your money in an high interest savings account until you are ready to book and pay for this holiday, you'll be a lot better off financially.

We wanted to try and get something booked fairly soon, as one member of the party is a school teacher and so cannot be as flexible with dates like the rest of the party can be, and it incorporates Easter. Thanks for your reply0

I can almost guarantee that you will get a cheaper flight by waiting until around septmber october time.
I travel to the US a lot (own a villa on Orlando) and usually get my flights in Virgin Sales, as I fly from Manchester. Virgin are an excellent airline and I often fly there for less than £300 economy or £600 business, by booking during one of there sales. (They have them very frequently).0 -
Easter 2008 is in March , not April isn't it?0

Yes Easter 2008 is in March, but at this particular school their school holidays are later on than most schools, not too sure why, plus she is only a part-time teacher. I actually spoke to travelcity direct, who confirmed to me that the time we want to go is particularly expensive as it still incorporates the Easer!0

Schools are now tending to have fixed length terms so that you don't get terms that last 11 weeks followed by one that's 17 weeks long as will happen in 2007 with Easter Sunday being on 23rd March.x-spendthrift wrote: »Yes Easter 2008 is in March, but at this particular school their school holidays are later on than most schools, not too sure why, plus she is only a part-time teacher.
They are trying to get all terms to be about 14 weeks long - which is about the length of the September to December term0 -
Try my travel, also on Martins home page there is a link to some sites that look for flights. try those too. Do you have a virgin cc you get an extra 10% off their flights (apparently). I ve not actually checked this info out though.0

Hi, just read your email.
I've just spent some time trying to find out about flights departing around 12th April. Friends reckon they can book through a travel agent already, so I phoned Virgin Atlantic who provided a kind of garbled reason which did confirm that a travel agent can offer Virgin flights in April 2008, but Virgin themselves can't. To book direct with Virgin the flight must be no more than 11 months ahead - which means of course that if you want to book your return flight at the same time, you probably have to leave it until 10 months ahead.
Either way, my friends were quoted £2600.00 economy for a family of 4, and £4480.00 premium. Not exactly the sort of cheap flights I had in mind!
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread!!0 -
https://www.airmiles.co.uk have flights for Orlando loaded - usually BA flights but they do have some other airlines.0

we have normally used chartertravel.co.uk. Price was about £379 for this years Easters flights. These were non-direct flights though. Ususally book about October.0
