Moving from street to online

Hi Everyone,
We are looking for some advice about moving our buisness from a shop on the street to being online only and working from home. Several of out bills involving the shop will be increasing in 2013 and it just wouldn't be worth putting in the hours for the return. The majority of our income is already coming from online sales and would need to support the shop, so it's a no-brainer that the store isn't covering itself, but the buisness is if that makes sense.
What would be the biggest issues in making the move?
How should we record sales/outgoings for Tax and Vat - currently everything is recorded through our till system?
What haven't we thought of?

Hello,
What sort of products will you be selling/promoting?
Before you go completely online I would suggest you take 3 months to do some SEO, however here is a list of things I would do:
1- Backlinks to your site from relevant websites ( use google adwords and do you keyword research)
2- Write a blog about you business and do some article marketing using sites like squidoo and ezinearticles
3- Video marketing ( youtube has over 800 million users and is owned by Google + videos are ranked faster and are easier to come on the 1st page of google)
4- Join forums which best suit your niche
5- Join social networking sites like twitter and facebook
6- bookmark you links using social bookmarking sites

We sell video games, DVDs and Blurays. And dabble with video game merchandise like keyrings, toys etc
We aren't planning to have our own website.

So you would be selling through sites like ebay and amazon?
It's always worth having you own site in addition to selling on sites like the above.0 -
Are you looking to sell products online at all, or is it just to advertise yourself as business online but only sell through a store?0

I would rethink that.
If you use eBay etc then you are at their mercy
far better to use them for exposure but try and shunt traffic to your own site.
slightly cheaper prices,return customer discount,cheaper postage etc0
