I got 3 and my friend got 3 and we stuck them all in my hand luggage, afterall they weigh my hold luggage but not my hand luggage so they went in there. If I went back to America YC is the first place I'd be heading!
did you go to an outlet store? I have heard they sell 6 large for $60 all the time, but I just order from the website when they have a sale, to go to my hotel or my friend if I'm going to hers. I plan on not bringing lids home with me, so I can carry a few extra jars!
for the rest of us stuck here, Yankee Direct have 2 large jars for £30 ending tonight.0 -

Yeah it was at Woodbury shopping outlet about an hour away from New York and it has loads of designer outlets. I walked into the YC shop and I was in heaven! All these new scents to try but I had to be sensible and only bring back what I could fit in else I'd have bought loads more:money::rotfl::T0 -
How often does everyone burn their candles? And does anyone use melts? X0

Pretty much every day, and some days a couple of different ones in different rooms. Today I am burning Holiday Home Sweet Home in the kitchen and Be Thankful in the hallway. Tonight I might add Vanilla Cupcake to the living room!
Have only tried melts once (quite a few years ago) and I had a glass burner and broke it trying to get the melt out. I am tempted to get an electric burner when I see one I like and some of the new non stick melts ( in the jar shape rather than round ones).0 -
Tip for using melts - If you put the holder part into the freezer for a couple of minutes, the used melt pops out very easily.0

Would you say that wax melts give as much throw as a large jar in a large room? Can't really remember being impressed, but maybe same as large jars in that some seem to smell stronger than others?0 -
I actually prefer the melts. Generally I will have one melt lit over two, maybe three evenings before changing the scent. I don't do very well (just recently I might add) with the large jars, they tend to tunnel a lot, maybe I'm doing something different.
Also I don't think the aroma is as good as they used to be. I was burning a Baby Powder large jar yesterday from about lunch time until bed time and it has hardly any smell at all - even if you walk into the room after being elsewhere for a while. I've decided after my collection of jars are finished, I will stick to melts and votives.0 -
If anyone is near Spalding the hallmark shop in Springfield was selling 12 votive for £8 all sorts of scents Inc new ones ...lots of bargains to be hadim tray not davey...pinched my hubbys account!!!
I must stop buying smellies..well until i spot a bargain!
