There is so much bubble wrap and boxes within boxes ...honestly the price we paid wouldn't cover the packaging costs!! I so glad others managed to grab a bargain too....and there seems to be lots, left

All of my boxes were brilliantly packed, enough bubble and polysterene to wrap an elephant. Was a bit dissappointed though as thought each item would have it's own box -(can't say what I ordered as I've got a nosey friend who reads my posts and will be benefiting from this order!). They were either batched up with 4 in a box packed in polysterene or just bubble wrapped, so won't look as nice when I gift them as if each item had it's own lovely YC individual box. Of course at these prices, I can't complain, and I must say the items were MUCH bigger than I expected! BUT had I paid full price, I would have been more disappointed. It's a VERY minor gripe though, I'm delighted with my order. :D

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

You very rarely get Yankee in 'pretty' boxes, I have bought loads of things online and most of them come as they are or occasionally in a brown box that looks pretty ugly and not worthy of the goodies inside. I know in the past (couple of years ago) I did sometimes get a nice YC gift box for the large jars if I bought quite a few at the same time. I can't think that you get a box if you pay full price in a shop even.

Just checked Yankeedoodle site is now back to normal :)
  • Thanks Deely, only just had a chance to check myself. Site all appears as it was, must have been maintenance like you said. Hopefully my parcel will arrive soon. :)

My Yankee Candle order has arrived today too, very pleased with what I got for the amount I paid.

Make a nice present for Mum next year, think she'll really like it :)
  • House of Fraser have some Yankee 'pure radiance' candles half price online (not sure about in store) - I have not heard of these, are they new? Has anyone tried them?

Not,tried these particular ones but they often do other ranges in slightly different jars you really need to have a smell as,some are lovely, but others not so....I prefer the fruity ones

I bought one called Yuletide when it was half price direct from Yankee Candles and have just bought one from H of F, Stargazer, its lovely. They both are lovely and the room smells of them the morning after if I have kept the door closed overnight .They don't seem to be the fruity ones more like amber, cinnamon and musk types, they are in a more modern shaped glass too .I don't think you will be disappointed

I got one of these for my DD from TKMaxx. I think it was £6something. Can't remember name of the fragrance but it was red and smelled divine when it was burning. They make a change from the usual jars too.
