Wooo - sorry I offended the Windows Protection League.debitcardmayhem wrote: »Stick to your new iPads, since you have nothing worthwhile to add.
The point is that Windows 8 is designed for and targeted at phones and tablets - that is what the Metro interface is about. It doesn't work well on a PC and consists of two or three different interface styles slung together in a rather cack-handed way, and it
removes features that were in Windows 7.
We've now got people saying that hardware support isn't exactly seamless too (for a pretty recent fairly high-spec laptop). Now, Windows general strength is the hardware support, but have they decided to cut corners there too?
(And who would buy a Windows tablet over an iPad or a Windows phone over an iPhone anyway?)0 -
Thanks for that opinion Prowla. I'm sure the OP is glad to know it. My opinion is that Windows 8 is great (on my desktop PC, keyboard and mouse, no touchscreen) and the TWO (not THREE) interfaces work great, especially on two screens.
ANYWAY - Sounds like the WiFi drivers are installed OK - the driver for the keyboard, as advised above, should help us along and get the Fn keys working as they should.

I don't know what your precise 'MD' number is but that shouldn't matter. I see 'hotkeys' mentioned which would be what you're after.0 -

(But of course, yours is wrong.)0 -
Difference being, prowla, I was helping the OP. You weren't.0
