You need to install the appropriate W8 driver for your wireless card.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

If not, laptop make and model would help. Were you using Windows 7 before? You may be missing drivers (unlikley) or the new interface may make it difficult to find the settings...

Hi almillar (al to friends) on the new thread is the answer
I have a Medion p6631 and have to connect to the internet via the ethernet cable. Which is frustrating.

I have on listed on Device Manager under Network Adapters - Intel Centrino Wireless N-130. I have downloaded the driver several times and restarted each time. It never works.

Also my Fn keys aren't working. Normally I have to press Fn+F2 to switch my wireless on. This is more likely to be the problem. Please help me. Its a pain for me to use the internet with the ethernet cable.
Not sure why OP has started another thread but hey it's :rudolf:

Try downloading the hotkey driver for your make/model of laptop. That is normally the problem when the FN(hotkey) is not working

Is your PC a tablet or a phone?

If not, then why on earth did you put Windows 8 on it?

Stick to your new iPads, since you have nothing worthwhile to add.

  • Middy , go to Network and sharing Centre and change the Wifi Adapter properties for TCP/IP V4 , make sure your default gateway has the ip address of your router
    eg 192.168.x.y
you can find x and y from the adapter settings from the ethernet status details
