I've been following this thread with interest and was holding off paying off my together loan until the outcome of the court case. However, interestingly I phoned up on the 15th July 2015 for a settlement figure and I phoned up today for a settlement figure and the settlement figure is nearly £3,500 less that what is was on the 15th July and I haven't made any payments since then???

Have they applied some compensation to my loan account or do you think it is an administrative error?

It may be worth you all phoning for a settlement figure to see? My original loan was for £30,000 so I was definitely in the over £25k bracket.

Fingers crossed for you all! :j

I gave a brief outline about the people under 25k getting a redress due to the "admin error" and then that's when it came to light about over 30k not being covered by CCA despite the contracts stating otherwise. I said how NRAM took themselves to court, found to be breach of contract originally, but that the High court said otherwise.
I then said we want to know how NRAM think it was a "fair" decision, who hired and paid for "our" solicitors and how long did they think they could cover this blunder up

It's taken me a while to take the news in fully although Nram are so low i can hardly be surprised I suppose !

Right - I've just submitted my online complaint to watchdog outlining the same issues as everyone else - pls everyone do the same and we will be heard, the more I think about it the more it baffles me, I'm sitting here with all my original paperwork and as well as the agreements that state CCA all over them I have a cover letter from Nram confirming receipt of our returned signed agreement but they quote ' the consumer credit act 1974 requires us to send the enclosed copy of the agreement to you for your reference ' if this 'mis hap' is being put down to admin error of the loan agreements being used why were they quoting the act upon further correspondence??

    This is all so frustrating!

I also have a mortgage review letter dated October 2007 coming up to two years after we signed the first documents with them asking us to sign consumer credit act agreements again for the remortgage - I've not read all the transcripts so I'm unclear when or if they have mentioned a timeframe that this error was noticed or maybe hinted at one but I just doesn't make sense that we aren't being protected ? What's the worth of all these signed documents ? I'm not legally or financially trained so if anyone thinks I've found anything of any relevance pls say but I'm sure it's prob the same as all the rest of you have :-(

    Thanks, will check tomorrow :T

They are known for 'administrative errors' though... Also known as lies and excuses !
  • coxj - maybe you've just gone outside an early repayment charge period?

What does that mean exactly? May well help some of us time the paying off of these rotten loans!
