Buy a couple of iPads from PC World

I am planning to buy a couple of iPads as presents.
Our company has an employee purchase scheme that allows me to buy a store gift card at a discount and of the available ones PC World comes out the best rate at 7% off.
In addition to that, PC World's 16 GB Retina ones are £30 cheaper in store than John Lewis ("never knowingly undersold" - huh?).
So I'm thinking that I get the card (I've ordered it with £1 starter and it should arrive today) and top it up and stroll into PC World and hand over the card.
I've got a couple of questions about this that it would be great to get your opinions on, please:

I've got a couple of questions about this that it would be great to get your opinions on, please:
- I guess I don't get credit card protection with the gift card - what are the pitfalls there?
- Can I get the iPads cheaper than that (£369 for 16 GB Retina, minus 7%) in a shop?
- Are there any further discounts available at PC World (most seem to exclude iPads & iPods).

What about the refurbished ones from apple?!
I brought one last night and got a 3rd gen 32gb wifi and 3G for £4690 -
Thanks for the thought - it's new Retina 4th gen 16 GB WiFi ones I want.0

Which PC World store has the 4th gen 16GB Ipad for £369 as their website shows it at £399?

It looks like the older 3rd generation units are the ones in store at £369.

Hmmm - I might've got that wrong!George_Michael wrote: »Which PC World store has the 4th gen 16GB Ipad for £369 as their website shows it at £399?

Thanks for pointing it out.
(I was sure it said "Retina".)0 -

The advert states that both models have a retina display (whatever that is!) but the cheaper one is 3rd gen and the expensive one is 4th gen.0 -
Ah - that was my mistake.
It's the 4th gen I want.0 -
JL normally offer a minimum of 2 years guarantee on all computers and tablets (and I think their aftersales service is far better than PC world), so if they are the same price there that may be a better option providing there is a store local to you.0

The implication is that if they know that a shop is selling it cheaper then they should either (a) refuse to sell it, or (b) price match.danthemoneysavingman wrote: »Think about it, what does this rather ambiguously worded statement actually mean?.....0
