Hello everybody,
Hope your all well, another glorious day here today. Spent the time pottering around, lots of washing washed and dried outside. Had a little sit and read in the garden. Managed to burn my shoulders a bit.
Have had a manicure and pedicure today ready for the wedding.
Tomorrow round at my brothers for a swim, working at teaching DGS to swim.
Ds2 girlfriend arrived this evening so we are all here now and ready for the nuptials on Sunday.
It feels very unchrismassy even though there are decorations and Christmas music everywhere.
It's a very busy house with nine of us but its lovely having all my family here together.
Hope you are all well and keeping safe and warm

Thanks, my friend.:o As well as my "usual" severe depression, I also have SAD to deal with, plus a very stressful form to complete.bargainbird wrote: »LW - Urm pls post it might help xxx
Let me get this weekend out of the way, during which Mr LW is going to do the vile form for me (I literally can't hold a pen for long enough to do it myself, even if I was mentally up to the task) then hopefully I'll be a bit more myself.
Data centre move has been postponed til mid-Jan, so thank the gods, Mr LW will be here all weekend after all.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all
Just got in from work, still freezing cold after yet another outside duty, brrr.
I'm wrapped up in a quilt with a cuppa, I shall have a snooze for half an hour & then get up & start cooking. I need to make cheese straws, mince pies & Christmas biscuits ready for a work party tomorrow.
Have a good evening everyone.
hugs Hester

Thursdays and Fridays are my days at work.
There is a rota for the various jobs, so I have an idea of what I need to do when I go in. However, recently they keep on messing round with the rota, and as I'm not there for the rest of the week to speak up, I end up with the things that no one else wants. It happened again today, and I had to do the leftovers again! But it wasn't that busy so I think I got the better of the deal this time.
As we've been out all day the house is still very cold. We had a hearty beef stew for dinner, but even that hasn't warmed me up properly.
Just need to get tomorrow over with, then back to 5 days at home, hooray.
I don't mind the job really, but I prefer home. Just got to keep going for another 4 years or so, then my husband retires, and I'm stopping work at the same time. So all the money we can earn and save now will help for our retirement.
Keep warm everyoneEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hi everyone,
Just popping in to say hello.
Rushed off my feet at the the moment at work and at home and the freezing weather just makes me want to hibernate.
Hester Hang on in there only a week and a half to go!
LW Any doggy visitors on their way soon?
Monnagran Hope the rev is recovering.
Sorry if I have missed anyone, I am reading most days but not getting a lot of chance to post.
Have a good evening folks.:)0 -
Yay my plastic recycling bag worked a treat and when I took it off this morning I just folded it and put into the porch for resuse as and when. No more expensive tins of de-icer for me now:):)and no standing in the cold scraping either
Danny has arrived safe and sound in Amsterdam with his pals, apparently I think the band is called 'Swedish House !!!!!' which is 'the group to see', and see it they will tonight. Then they have until Sunday lunchtime to rest and recouperate
:)He said this morning he was going to try some Belgian beer that is strawberry flavoured, whatever next !!!
Had a very busy day, dashing here and there and baking up a storm Tonight's plan is to put my feet up and do some midless t.v. watching and a bit of knitting.Tomorrow I'm off to the 'smoke' visiting and gawd knows what time I'll be home as Frank and Margaret (my DDs in-laws ) are such smashing couple and we sit and sort the world out between us
:)
Shelleys finance meeting went OK and she was picked up and taken to work this morning for it, and deposited back home at 1.00 on the dot ,so even her boss won't let her do too much Any work she does tomorrow will be on her lap-top on the sofa at home with her feet up.:)
My Sis-in-law Jan should be home from Mexico next week, and I have to find a spot when I can whizz down to see her in Faversham, perhaps on Tuesday as Wednesday is my youngest DD's Tessa'a birthday and I'm taking her out to lunch, and this Sunday is my grandson Ben's 17th birthday,(he has a very pretty new young lady called Sara and I have my fingers crossed that she is kind to him) as his last girlfriend was horrible to him, and he is such a kind hearted boy and is so loyal to the girls .The nice lads always seem to get dumped on sadly.
It's all blooming birthdays next week I have three in the space of a week in my family .I really could do with a 36 hour day to get everything crammed in at times
Right off to sort out my dinner and put my trotters up
Have a good evening folk
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Evening all
HH - I don't know how you cope working there!
Brrrrrrrr! Cold here today. Work kids spent day prepping their presentation, and TBH they really got on my wick today . Yday I gave them lots of feedback on the run through they did, wrote down what they needed to do. Gave them 2 hours this morning to sort it, rehearse etc before doing a run through, yet when they did it they hadn't listened to a word I'd said! And then claimed they forgot what I said, so when I pointed out the notes I'd written that were on the table they went a bit sheepish! But I only have them for 3 more days (next week) and they are gone!
After work I went to have my nails done. It's our Xmas Do tomorrow. I saw an offer on Groupon few weeks back, £12 for Shellac mani and pedi in local salon. Looks good - sparkly gold on nails, red on toes. And I had my brows shaped, got 15% off that so only cost £5!
Everyone is staying at mine tomorrow night so I need to tidy and set up beds etc. I did upstairs this morning, so just need to hoover downstairs and wash dishes.
OS wise - HM curry for tea from freezer, rice made and LO will be frozen, hoover and tidy throughout, laundry mountain out away, dishes to wash, bathroom cleaned, kitchen to clean, winter duvet put on bed.
Have a good night all
