  • I thought bus fares to WP appointments etc were refunded?

the OP should be having her travel costs re-imbursed by the WP provider so there would not be any additional cost to her for travelling to and from appointments - so that's one of her problems solved

Anyone I know on the work programme has had bus fares reimbursed.

I can not believe this. I come here for some PROPER ADVICE but as usual it seems that people are picking on me .
Where has anybody 'picked' on you? I'm sorry if you don't like listening to the truth but this is the situation you are in.
Well let me tell you how it is. As I have said I have searched every job Search website And Job agents but still no jobs.
Pretty sure many have been there, I know first hand how demoralising it is. :(
And I do have a disability and it's called dyslexia ( and I also got picked on cos I have this. I can't help it I'm only human!) . As for the work program it nothing but a big waste of time cos all I was told to do is go to intranining and search for jobs on there PC's ( and I'm not joking you , I wouldn't of said about this if this wasn't so). I hope that has made more things clearer if not then I'm sorry . But what with the pressure from this intranining lot it's all becoming too much for me.
Now hang on here. My sister is dyslexic and no way on earth could she type as coherently as you have here, her ability to read and write is shocking but yet she holds down a job at Tesco sorting the fashion stuff out and manning the tills. It's not exactly Richard Branson I know but she gets on with it and is happy in her work and I am proud of her for that.

I'm afraid there is no way that you can avoid the inevitable, you get up and work or you accept the grief that is without doubt coming your way.

Sorry, Yorkshireman, been there, done it, got 8 t-shirts to prove it. :(

Just try and ignore these comments. I know it's easier said than done.

It's not easy to find a job in this economic climate.
Fred - Where's your get up and go?

Barney - It just got up and went.

The OP lives in the SE and has been looking for a job for over 4 years. She always gets annoyed with everybody who tries to offer her constructive advice. If she ever took any notice of people's comments, she might not be in the situation she's in now.

    You mean with falling unemployment?
  • You mean with falling unemployment?
    .
Really? 9 million adults of working age are not in employment in the U.K. Theres a lot of unemployed people who dont sign on.
  • would like to thank ineed and fredandwilma for the help/advice . as for another post that ask me how old I am ............ well I'm 24+ .
some of the other posts seem to think that I'm just a person that not trying hard enough to find work , to prove to you that I'm not a fat lazy ugly person I'm going to list how I search for work:.

    newspapers
    job agencies
    job websites (aka jobsite etc)
    go direct to the employer
    apprenticeship website

so as you can see I search everywhere to find work or what's available in my area as I live in a small town and it's very had to find work , although I search everyday for job . I can not do more then that ( what I have list above). I apologize for asking for advice on this matter (see 1st post for details) maybe this was too much to ask for? maybe I shouldn't of ask for advice .......... anyway again I apologize unreservedly.

OP are you getting help with your dyslexia ?

Has your CV been checked over by someone eg a careers advisor, next step (name might have changed since last year) available through the job centre.

What has the advisor said to be not nice and very demanding ?

I've try to get help for my dyslexia but there's nothing where I live .
as for my CV I have had it check and I'm following advice online on how I can improve it .the advisor at intraining has threaten me that if I don't see her she will cut my benefits . I can not talk to her before she gets all judgmental and demanding and also she won't listen to what I got to say for 5 minutes .
