E.ON Prices per kWh

I've been trying to find out the difference in prices between the different plans.
Anyone know how to get them?

Nowhere on their site does it give a break down.
All it gives is their guesstimate based on our yearly usage.

In the summer we heat a swimming pool on the night rate.
The grandchildren have really grown out of using it now, so I would like to work out the electricity prices without this being included.

I have phoned Eon but they only gave the price per kWh on the plan we are on at the moment.
The agent was appeared to be getting a little impatient with all the questions, so I gave up in the end.

    Hi evenasus,

I'm sorry about the person you spoke to, there is no reason for not giving you all the info you wanted :o

You can view the unit prices for all of the tariffs on the website.

If you have an online account then just log in as normal, then click 'find our best deal for you' then switch your product.

If you then click through the quote the last page will give you the plans, click 'review plan' for the unit prices.

If you don't have an online account, you can use the quote on the right hand side of the home page and enter your post code and house number.

Can I ask how to obtain the latest tariff details of a tariff no longer available to new applicants please?

e.g. an existing customer on your old Standard (Energyplan) tariff (without an online account) who does not pay a daily standing charge, but rather is billed on a 2 tier system.

    Hi Wywth,

They can look at their bill, as this will show the current prices they are paying.

It will also have shown on the letter they received when they changed on to the tariff.

If they would then like the unit prices for after the increase in January, these will show on the price increase letters that are being sent out.

Or I am happy to help.

    Helena :)

Yes, could you please let me know the price of E7 electricity on an existing standard tariff (NSC) for the Eastern region with effect from January 18th 2013.
(paid quarterly on receipt of bill by cash/cheque)

    Yes of course.

But I'm not allowed to post prices on here.

If you could pop me an email to WebForumAdvisors@eonenergy.com with your account number I will reply to that for you.

Oh dear. I don't have an E.on account, I was just wondering what prices you would charge an existing customer in the Eastern supply region. :)

Why are these prices not available on your website? There must be a vast majority of your existing customers on on this old traditional tariff, and yet they can't see what it will cost them once the price increase announced on Monday takes effect.

I suppose it's a secret and they will just have to wait to be individually informed by letter.

    I see :D

It's not a secret, I just can't post prices on the forum.

They will get the new unit prices in the letter, or they could just ring up and ask/send an email.

Customers that don't manage their accounts online get everything through the post.

Putting all the old tariffs for all of the areas on the website would be confusing.

Yes, I agree putting all the old tariffs up may be confusing and to be honest not really necessary.

Most old tariffs will have expired by now, but this is an ongoing tariff, the original standard tariff that presumably all your existing loyal customers who have never switched supplier or tariff before (and recent reports suggest that is about 50% of all customers) would be on. Don't you think a tariff that perhaps 50% of all your customers are currently on should be on your own website?

Btw, a couple of posters elsewhere on this board have indicated they are being moved to a daily standing charge, when they have not paid one before with Eon and despite your assurances previously that would not happen. (unless the customer wanted it to)
Could you comment on that please?
    e.g. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4339103
(perhaps adding a comment to that thread would be more appropriate)

    Thanks Wywth,

    I understand.

If customers are online they can see the prices, but as I say if not it would have to be another form of contact, but we do always feed back comments and suggestions like this.

You're right that we have changed some of the tariffs, this was done the same day as the price increase announcement, so the Standard tariff will move over to a single rate with Standing charge. (As posters have said they have received a letter about this)

What I said is August was correct at the time.

We do still have three tariffs that will remain on two tier pricing, these are no longer for sale.

I will also post this on the other thread.
