Anything with DEET in it. The higher the Deet content the better.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

The only thing that works is all out chemical attack with DEET. The Avon stuff has been shown to be no good. Avon also sell a repellant! DOH!

If you can be bothered when you go to your room at night, shut all windows and put the lights on. Shake all the curtains etc and any mozzies will fly off so you can squish them. If you need to open a window make sure you don't put the light on.

Hi all ive been told that lavender cream is a natural repellent, you can buy just normal moisturiser from the body shop or boots do one cheaper, it totally natural and good for the little ones, my sons 16month and i don't fancy the idea of slapping on all that jungle stuff, it stinks aswell.

My brother said they hate garlic and to eat garlic capsules for a week before hand but surely it being odourless defeats the object?

Garlic capsules have worked for me in the past. Its odourless to humans, but I assume the mosquitoes hate it.

The plug in things also work, but you need to have closed windows

Avon Skin So Soft. Everyone I know around here swears by the stuff for repelling the dreaded Scottish midgies.
