my contract is due for renewal shortly. I'm mostly a texter, but I would need some call minutes too, and I use the internet on my phone. I also run websites which I am coverting for use on mobile phones so will be using t'internet on my phone a lot more. Does anyone have any reccomendations?
I'm kind of torn between them at the moment, and they both have cashback/ free gift offers available - the wii with flext and £100 via quidco with 3.
Anyone any experience with either?

Less phone choice with x series and you can get some 12 month free deals with web n walk0

If you go on the x series site they have a list of all the features of x series that is available on each particular handset:
http://www.three.co.uk/xseries/get_x_series/xseries_services.omp
Technically they currently only offer the x series on the E65, but they do allow you to add the xseries to any tariff, so do as I did and get an 18 months half price line rental contract (no messy cashbacks if your lousy with em) and sell the cheap phone, buy the phone of your choice offline (eg eBay) and use the 3 sim with it.
I would prefer the xseries over web n walk as skype is included, and Three will be slowly releasing more services on the x series in future (not sure if web n walk uses 3g speeds?)SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80

In general with a product like this, I would base the choice on what the network is contracted to supply, or what they already do right now. You never know if a new service would be charged as an extra.
T-Mobile supports HSPDA 3.5G, for up to ~ 1GB/s. You need to compare the network coverage for your local area as this isn't available everywhere. T-Mobile is 2G-only where I live.0 -
I am using T-mobile pay as you go (data charges capped at £1 /day) and am surprised how good the gprs service is. T mobile will sell you a pay and go sim for 50 p delivered so you can see if the service is any good before you commit to a contract
I am using a O2 Xda Mini s and using the service to remotely access pc's with either remote deaktop or logmein. I have been surprised as to how well this works.0 -
I may have got X-series wrong, but it doesn't read like you get open access to the Internet....Merely to the services (port numbers) they want you to use....If that is correct I think the service is severely limited....
Web and Walk seems a much better option....I'm on it at the moment and I can access any site I want how I want and use my phone as a modem to my laptop and thus have mobile access....
3G or data connectivity at home is not the important thing either to consider, that is if you already have a broadband connection...Much more important is that it is there where you are mobile....0 -

Nope you get full access to the internet, I use the opera mini browser n it works a charm, u get 5000 mins of skype, mobilcasts (podcasts), msn/ebay (which all 3 cust's get for free anyway) and its only £5 ontop of your line rental,
or you could push the boat out n pay another £5 to get all the above plus orb and slingboxSLC: £13000+

On the one hand you say you get full access and then on the other you say you get 5000 minutes of skype, ebay etc....If it is full access why are specific sites/uses specified? Just like orb and slingbox, if you had full access why do you have to pay extra for those? Sorry but I am confused...0 -
I meant full open access to the internet, ie any webpage, there is a fair use policy but its very reasonable. You get two versions of xseries, Silver and Gold:
Silver (£5 p/m):
1GB Data: ie internet browsing (it was my first month and I was using it very heavily, even used google maps, which is a bandwidth killer and it was fine)
Skype: 5000 mins
eBay and Mobilcast are unlimited
Windows Live Messenger: 10,000 messages per month
Gold (£10 p/m):
All the above in the silver package plus Orb & Slingbox (which has a fair use policy of 80 hours)SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24

Thanks for the info.....Shame they've not put more websites in there as non-chargeable against FUP downloads....I couldn't care less on those provided and 1Gb is not very much at all....
Think I prefer web-and-walk....0 -
thanks for all your opinions folks. I'm kind of swaying to the wb n walk myslef to be fair. The free wii and the flexibility of surfing, the better coverage, plus the 12 months contract I think might sway me their way.

Thanks again guys
