i think its done by bacs as its little paper work, easily tracked and easily stopped or called back if there are any issues. they can just tell the bank we are goverment dont clear it! lol

haha yeah, part of the same ppl these days since they merged a few years bk, it was then it all changed i used to work for em left just as they were doing the merge lol its good they clear monday ( and bank hols monday/tuesday) on a sat but not kewl that u hae to wait till 2:30 at the earliest to get it lol

I phoned them on Tuesday and they said 21st at midnight but I'll be more patient and wait but have a little feeling lol. I only phoned them because I had a bit of money and decided to buy my mother something she's always wanted for xmas n then if I did I'd have to wait to buy my dad and brother anything so was relying on a payment tonight

if its due on the 26th then it should really clear today (21st) if its not there by 9am, call them and ask whats happening. they will be able to check and if its not paid do u a straight transfer

First of all, Hi to everyone on these forums .

We (my girlfriend and I) are due to be paid on Thurday the 27th 2012.....When would we actually get paid?

Told today on the phone when requesting an early payment will be the 21/12/2012 we receive our payment, however not entirely losing the will until after 3am lol

The 27th...You may get the money the banking day prior as per the previous posts...i.e the 24th Dec but don't rely too much on that. It depends on your bank.

could be however if you check, the tax credit/child benefit payment dates can't remember which one, they are paying on the 24th for the 27th payment.

thats for child benefit and tax credits, not jsa/esa/is tho thats different to the above stuff
