Where have you been hiding Kerri ?

Sounds a good plan to use the extra cash towards the CC.

Did you ever put the new big idea from your last post into action or is it still work in progress ?

    Good to see you

I have been here reading quietly :) Hope you're OK Mrs P.
The big idea is currently in the form of a website in "ready to go when I have stock" mode. I have to clear the fleabay boxes first so I have room for the stock.

I have been lurking like the lurker that I am. I really need to update more, however I have so far only put the council tax onto the credit card for this month. I've got 44 things listed on fleabay with 5 things that have bids. That's a grand total of £6.34 if people pay me, I have one person outstanding from last time and it doesn't look like they're going to pay.

Number 1 cat is going to the vet tomorrow to get microchipped, I found I have £60 in my personal account and seeing as he is convinced he is starving constantly a quick checkup for worms seems in order. No sign of them though, and I'm convinced he's just a greedy boy...well he is a male! I am loving how they do something dull and then look at the inanimate object like it was its fault not theres. For example number 2 cat decided to jump a very large distance from shelves onto bed and completely bailed, smacked chin on side of bed and fell off backwards...then blamed the bed! Number 1 cat has just given the stink eye to a box because it was obviously the boxes fault he almost fell off the sideboard, not the fact he tried standing on an unstable box.

Anyway, that's enough ranting. New business idea is taking shape, I've done a pricelist now for a few bits and trying to work out what I should order from the wholesalers. It's all still in line with craft and handmade things. I need to go through all my bits & pieces that I've bought over the years and work out whether I have any fat quarters of fabric, or fastenings or beads, or things I can sell in the new business. I'm not quite sure how that works with the books though. My biggest fear though is involving my sister and Dad into the idea. Dad had asked me to find him a wholesale ->retail business he could start, and it now seems to be my little project. However, my sister is now saying she'll have to be paid for the time she takes to go to the Post Office....um you'll use stamps and go 2 seconds round the corner to the postbox deary...I'm not quite sure she realises that new businesses operate at a loss to start with....oh dear, oh dear, what have I got myself into?

To top it all off, I'm in debt and have a cold :( woe is me! OH has been relegated to the spare bedroom so he doesn't get my cold, I get to spend the night with cats in my bed instead :D

I've just thrown another £50 at the credit card as my sister has just paid me back £50 :) a week until payday and 6 days until the credit card statement comes in.

I now own a bike! I bought it yesterday with the bike2work scheme voucher I received in the post. Apparently the spec is quite good, although all I know is that it is red, white and black :) I rode it home and was jeered at by some idiot boys...I have vowed never to ride on the road again :) We're going to go out this weekend if the weather holds off.

Last night the kittys had to sleep in with us as I refused to put the heating on for them in the lounge. Luckily they didn't wake the OH up, but my oh my was it cold this morning. No wonder they scrabbled at the door for ages to be let in. I felt like a really mean Mummy.

I've been trying to work out what is the best way to keep them up to date with their jabs, buy their worming & flea treatments. I've found that if I pay for them all myself and buy the treatments on the internet I can save myself loads of pennies, at least a 1/3rd if not more. So that's what I'm going to do :)

Hmm I have just poked my head out from the bed I've been spending all my time in of late...the invention of the laptop was a godsend to people with colds/flu/etc... Somewhere along the way the bedroom has been hit with a massive bomb of carp and clothes!!! I'm not kidding there used to be floor here at some point, I'm sure it was carpeted. Right! Enough is enough! OH hasn't bothered doing any cleaning for weeks!!! I'm going to start a MASS clean up, and whilst I'm at it I'm going to sort through my craft stuff and work out what bits can go on the haberdashery website. Would be nice to open it on Tuesday when I have to pay for the subscription with at least a few bits that are ready to buy straight away instead of a "awaiting more stock"... Wish me luck, I may be some time

Well the house is freezing and I'm refusing to leave my duvet today, it's too cold. I don't want to put the heating on as the bill will end up being silly money.
I've had some good news today from the hospital though, my latest blood test results show my TSH is starting to be surpressed again. I was told off when I went to my appointment earlier in the month as I kept forgetting to take my thyroxine and my levels were raised. I have to get stabbed with a needle again in a months time to check the levels then, but so far all good :)
I clocked up a couple of hours overtime last night, and I'm on standby this weekend so that's a few more pennies coming in :)

I'm just about to sit down with all my fabric and work out what can go on the haberdashery website, I apparently have to take out the account by Tuesday or they delete everything which seems like an awful waste of time. I'm looking into ways of changing my website provider for my bags & purses, if I can get a reduced rate elsewhere then I might swap. I'm paying about £20 a month at the moment and that's quite expensive I feel.

No debt busting today, but I'm waiting for fleabay things to sell and I've got 11 things selling so far :)

11 things selling is a good start.

On your keyrings, have you ever thought of making some on a long lanyard to be worn around your neck? or if you have a key clip in your back, a long fabric cord can enable you to open your door without removing the whole key chain from your bag and possibly losing the keys? something like this?
