Welcome back Kerri, there's a few of us been struggling keeping up to the diaries recently - especially me -, so it's good to see a few old faces popping back up.

Aw hello HappyNow :) nice to see you. I fell off the wagon when I moved to Wales, but we're talking about mortgages so I best shift this noose from around my neck x

Right, I've just set myself some goals. Some of them are plenty hard, like how on earth am I going to save £10k by myself and have this debt paid off by Christmas next year?! That means I have to save/earn £833 each month...that's more than my sister gets paid each month!!!
So I've worked out if I get paid £2k minimum each month, then if I only spend a strict £30 a week on myself and set aside money each month for the car, contact lenses, dentist etc, then I have £450 leftover!!! Eep!!! So I need to somehow find an extra £380 from somewhere. If I don't do it though, I might never have a house of my own.

So in January I think I'm going to join the hardcore group, this month it's December Debt Destruction. If I can try to stay on the straight and narrow with them then fingers crossed I can achieve this HUGE goal.

I think more crafting is the way to go for you kerri..sell it on etsy etc etc

Have a great weekend..its well cold over here on the other side of the Bridge too

Well I should get £15 tomorrow for a laptop cover I need to make tonight for a lady I met when I did my Cardiff stall the other week. For some reason I can't face sewing at the moment, kick up the backside anyone? Please! I think it's because I did the stall instead of going down to see my Grandad and he passed away whilst I was doing the stall :( It couldn't be helped I live miles away and I said my goodbyes the week before. Anyway, it's my business and I need to get my bottom in gear with it if I'm to make £400 extra a month....that's a LOT of sewing!

The OH has gone to the pub and he's already told me I'll probably be getting take away tonight (I hate cooking), so I'm going to call his bluff and make something instead, no idea what but the cupboards are full and I refuse to ruin my NSD by cooking! I might put the takeaway money towards my cc, but I haven't decided yet.

Dolly, I am currently hiding from my bank balance, I don't want to see it.

So just after I posted this earlier I started hearing the familiar noise from back in October of water pouring onto our hallway ceiling. It did this for a good half an hour with it also pouring onto our second bedroom ceiling where it seemed to pool. An hour later and there were beads of water dripping through the ceiling onto the spare bed, evasive action was taken and the bed was put on its side in case the ceiling came through, and cardboard boxes placed where the drips were coming through. Landlord, letting agents, building maintenance company all called and several hours later they're telling me they have to come back tomorrow to take down part of the ceiling as they have no idea where the water is coming from :( My perfect Christmas, with fabulous 8ft tree is about to be ruined I fear :( Very unhappy Kerri, but I didn't buy takeaway and I did in fact have a NSD.

    Spends yesterday:
£30 for my tiny nephews xmas present, two presents for this price and both were half price amazing!
£4.50 x 2 for two of us to go climbing last night
£12.50 for noodle takeaway (naughty I know)
    £1.60 lunch
I must try harder not to spend my pennies. Today is another spend day, we're going to go and meet a friend now who has just had a baby. The rest of the day is looking like a right mess other than maybe gymnastics at some point this evening. I'm feeling really stressed out about how unplanned today is, I find on days like this you spend all your time waiting for something to happen and then the day is done and wasted eugh!
Right, best wrap newborn baby presents (wasn't sure if I had to get Mum present or not so I didn't and I don't do giving cards anyway, oh well presents it is).
Will aim for a NSD tomorrow. Oh but I have to get one xmas present from over the way today, shouldn't be more than £20.
    Have a lovely weekend all.

I'm a right terror for declaring money off and then having to go adding it back again, so I'll declare the upper limits until I've either cleared part of the OD or know I definitely won't put anymore on the CC...

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has done this!! Usually I'm OK but this month has been a nightmare and I stupidly declared an overpayment to my CC as soon as I got paid rather than wait until just before next payday. Its looking increasingly like I will need to put some stuff back on CC. I need to bite the bullet and face up to it!!

I too will be joining the extreme debt busting thread in January (DDD) to try and finally get to grips with things once and for all!

Good luck with your journey and I look forward to following your progress!
