Tina Malteser,
I had H. Pylori last year, I was put on meds for 4 months after having intrusive tests, hope you have escaped them. The only good thing to come out of having that is I lost 1st 11lbs, Don't know what that is in new money !! I went from size 14 to 10 in 3 weeks.
Still get the odd symtems but all in all quite healthy.
Hope you'll be fine soon.
HESTER, I would insist on an appology in front of all who witnessed the unprofessional behaviour, how dare s/he. I'd have said a lot more than Whoa !! Stick by your guns, and be ready to fire them.0 -
betheebee, ive had it before many moons ago, i never knew you could have it more than once, i just remember the awful metal taste in my mouth from meds UCK!!!
oh well i should be good by new year, and thank the lord we don;t have to pay for prescriptions here in Scotland...that equals 3 charges for one tratment:eek:

evening all!
I tried posting earlier off my phone sadly it didn't work.
Hester and going4thedream hope work is better today for you, i hate it when work dominates your life. Well it does with mine,so i know how you feel. When i used to work in a pizza shop i used to dream about it:eek:.
Still all i can do at the moment is sit my as$ doing nothing, just being a useless lump:(:(:(.
Feel a bit better today, i slept in till 10:15am, very late for me. My OH took me out in the wheelchair today, felt weird at first but i really enjoyed myself. Bought myself some leggings and tights, which my OH insisted on me buying.Ended up spending £25 on them and pants for ds1.
We splurged cash and went out for lunch together. Really shouldn't have spent any money but to honest peeps we needed some time out of the house together.
OH should be on his on way back from work, he's been to the shops to get some fresh veg which he's making with chicken and potatoes, i think.
Hope the hospital appointments wen well today.0 -
Thank you for well wishes
I saw senior registrar instead of consultant and he was much nicer. I need more surgery which he put down as urgent but told me that means anything up to 3 months. Evening all
Hester - Sorry work is pants
JackieO - there is 5% off 1st class stamps in Superdrug right now
I'm another who struggles with driving at night, other headlights coming towards me can set off my vertigo, mainly on the motorway (because of the barrier)so I avoid it as much as possible, which is a bit of a pain as the M4 is a bit of a shortcut from mine to the next town! Floss, I shall look into the glasses you mentioned, although I have perfect vision!
Brrrrr chilly here today, don't think it got much above freezing.
Today was my work kids last day of Santa's Grotto, and they did fab. Only went to one school, but they were so much better than before. This afternoon, they decorated the office for Xmas whilst I was in a meeting. We have new student social workers coming on placement to us in Jan, so we met with them. Some of you will remember the nightmare student I had this year, but luckily these 2 seemed normal and enthusiastic!
After work I popped to shops to return a few bits, and in Tesco I got some YS bargains - brocolli head for 5p, 4 jacket spuds for 40p, 3 peppers for 30p.
OS wise - dishes washed, HM soup for lunch, packed lunch made for tomorrow, WM been on and drying on radiators
Have a good evening all

TINA MALTESER. (my fave chocs)
I was told that it will never clear up completely but would sort of hibernate.
I will never forget that taste either. Proberbly why I lost more weight because of the yuk taste of any food, you'reright it was like eating metal._pale_
I do hope you are feeling better before the New Year.
I didn't have to pay for my prescriptions because the hospital prescribed and gave them to me in one whole batch. If I had to get them from my GP it would have cost me a fortune.
Wishing you good health from now on.0
