Compensation for delayed flights - airline in administration..

I'm wondering how to go about claiming against strategic airlines who have apparently gone into administration or is it not possible to do so? :(

Thanks in advance

You have no claim against a bust airline.
Thanks - thought not but thought I'd check. Just as I got my hopes up - dashed!! :rotfl:

This could be an interesting way for small tour operators and unscrupulous charter brokers to circumnavigate the new legislation.

These fly-by-night charter operators are nothing new.... Viking, Viking Hellas, Fly Hellas, Tor Air, Skywings, Strategic and that's just the last few years.

Next years incarnation is called Greenjet by the way.

By operating for a year, disappearing and re appearing in another cloak! By the time the postbox is full of claims, they close up shop and leave you emply handed

    Exactly.

Air Ops, Peach Air, Sabre, XL, Kiss Flights, Viking, Vking Hellas, Tor Air were all run by the same bunch of people. They were involved with others as well but you get my drift.

They're still out there brokering seats under the name Meridian Aviation. Now I'm not saying they do this just to dodge EC 261/2004 (they were doing it way before that regulation!) but its just their mode of operating. XL was the closest they came to a proper operation.
