Tins are much cheaper, especially if there are a few cats to feed. The contents are usually just the same as the sachets too (apart from the Whiskas Supermeat which is just a tin of mush!). As we only have one cat I only use the tins in winter - in summer they go off too quickly.

My cats are quite fussy (only eat Felix GAIL wet food) but wolf down the Claude cat crunchies which are just 99p a box. DH noticed the other day that Mr T now have Claude wet food, we've not tried it yet but here's hoping!

Failing that could she look for offers at supermarkets she'd not normally use and get a bulk order using a money off first order coupon? Sainsburys have Felix GAIL on a 2 for £7 offer at the moment (regular price £4.35 I think?) so I ordered £60 worth using a £12 off a £60 shop code which, even allowing for the delivery charge, brought it down to around £3 per box.

She could obviously make this a much better deal by buying tins/own brand food.
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

When I was a child we got two cats from CPL. One of them had been fostered by an old lady who fed her only on corned beef! It took us ages to wean her off it on to normal cat food. She would only eat pellets then, and turned her nose up to all tinned food. She did enjoy bacon rind though, but only when you had thrown it into the kitchen bin and she could hook it out herself :rotfl: She also enjoyed chicken giblets and would gorge herself silly on them when mum had booked half a dozen chickens (we used to have a small hotel).
  • Mum hasn't even been done yet?

Good grief. If she doesn't get that done RIGHT NOW, I'm willing to bet there will be more kittens within weeks. If she isn't already expecting to one of her sons or any toms that happen to be waiting outside the back door for her.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
