Would you pay extra for a better delivery service?

£1
I'd pay more for the extra info - and if they refunded when they failed to meet the criteria... Given that the cost of delivery is so variable anyway - I wonder how much ends up with the courier.I would be very happy to pay a supplement to be told whether the delivery would be in the morning or afternoon.
Not sure if any company would take that risk - for a start they would be refunding their customer, the sender so it would rely on the recipient reporting the failure.
I could see a big name like DHL or UPS offering it to business customers though.I need to think of something new here...0 -
It won't work:
So, we all decide to pay £1 extra for good service/time slot.
In the long run all that will happen is that delivery from all companies will increase by £1 so they can give you a better service/time slot
Time passes ...
Change to terms and cons to say that they can't guarantee time slots because of all the extra work they have!
In the long run you have just put up the price of deliveries for everyone, and it's back to the same old same old.
