Renault Clio CAMPUS DASHBOARD BAR = CAN IT BE CHANGED?

I have a renault clio campus, 56 plate and the fuel dashboard shows how much fuel the car has got which goes up in bars, which is no good for me, and I don't like it.
currently like this:

Is there anyway I can change the settings so it shows up like a clock format, with it going up in bars, it is confusing and I don't want to go on distance runs not knowing if I have enough or not!
many thanks

unlikely to change the display the format of your car computer but check your stick dials, maybe you can get miles to empty or some other display showing how much fuel is in the tank in numbers.0

:eek:Only the French could make a display like that, they must still be putting wormwood in the Absinth.:eek:You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

Why is that difficult to understand?0

There again, this is a company who produce a car where you have to remove a complete light cluster to replace any of the front bulbs! (Megane 3)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

TBH analogue displays are just as inaccurate
)
Hang on, the steps in that display must be at least 2gall each, one moment you have fuel for 100 miles the next you only have 50 miles in the tank. No analogue is that bad.You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0 -

The miles left is only an average though.
So put 10 gallons in the tank and average 50mpg. It will say 500 miles.
But after a couple of miles you only do stop start heavy city traffic and average 30mpg that average figure will drop to 300 miles.
If it drops quickly its because your not averaging the mpg it calculated when you started off.
I started my car up and it said 13 miles left. Pulled upto the works locked gates left the engine running. Opened the gates. Drive through and then lock them again.
Before i had got 1 mile up the road the reading dropped to almost zero miles left.
Gentle drive down the dual carriageway and it picked upto 8 miles left.
Its an average. Depends what mpd your doing now and when it previously calculated it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Gotta be said I don't like that display in the photo much either. At least with an analogue needle you can see when you're below the red line0
