hi, this is just to warn other people about this online furnishing firm.
I dont want other people to part with their money as I..and many, many others like me have done (check out Trustpilot). Looking back..the fact that you could only contact them via email rather than a telephone number should have made me wary.
The website looks perfectly fine..I never considered for a second that it was a scam. But as you can see on trustpilot, it has to be a scam! They take all your money immediately, never deliver any goods!
I actually dont understand how they are getting away with it! Surely it's criminal???
I bought 2 pieces of furniture for nearly six hundred pounds.for my disabled son's room in his supported living room.....on 3rd Oct...despite numerous emails...they just keep lying....saying first that there was a delay..then they were going to refund..they just kept putting it off....they even threw in the 30 day refund Distance Selling Regulations!!!!...it just gave them longer to hide our money!!!...
I have downloaded the MSF template for chargeback as i have used my debit card.
but I am going to make it my business to let everyone know about this company..it is also linked to Highgrove furnishings...
please, please help me spread the word about furnishinghomes.co.uk....please let's stop them from stealing other people's money! Thank you.

Warning others is not a Consumer Rights issue.
Maybe this thread would be better on the Praise, Vent and Warnings Board.0 -

.
Dont bother with a letter.... RING your card provider.
Non reciept chargeback can be done over the phone in a matter of minuites (well that how we do it anyway)
And as someone who deals with theis stuff all the time.... I have never heard of this company.
So be very carefull what you post about companies on the internet.....Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I want to reply to this because my recent experience of FurnishingHomes.co.uk has been worryingly similar to that described and if I'd found this thread earlier it could have saved me lots of hassle.
I ordered some furniture from them that was listed as in stock with a 5 - 10 day delivery time. I emailed them to check the status of my order and in their reply they confirmed the item was in stock and would be delivered in that time frame.
When it didn't turn up I contacted them again and was told it was the couriers error in not turning up to collect it for delivery. They claimed it would sent the following week... and that's the loop I've been stuck in. It's hard for me to believe that it was in stock and that it simply takes at least 5 weeks for a courier to manage to collect it.
Ultimately I cancelled the order and am waiting to see if they refund me. Even then they say it takes up to the full 30 days currently allowed and that they will send a cheque "for security reasons".
Whilst I wouldn't describe them as criminal yet, I certainly haven't found them to be honest would warn anyone to avoid them.0
