Hello
Please can someone help, I am trying to secure our wireless network,its a netgear.
Secured the laptop, was only able to use wep because of the wg111 on the pc ,then it was the turn of the pc, this was fine was able to secure that.
But when I went back to the laptop it said it had limited or no connectivity and would not let me go onto the internet, can anybody help with what I should do next.
Thanks for any help

wg111 supports wpa if you have XP with SP2.

An article I have just completed on my site should help you out with this, WEP is best to be avoided if you have WPA or even WPA2 encryption methods available.
The Article is here;

You may find it useful. Also there are other articles regarding Wi Fi Securty have a look..

Thanks for all the replies,
When I double click onto the wg111 wizard all I get is the option to secure via wep, do I need to update anything to have the option for wpa
Is the limited connectivity something that just happens now and again and should I try again.
Thanks Sak 460 -

make sure the laptop is listed in the netgear router as being allowed to connect then use windows wireless connection on the laptop to connect adding the wep key when prompted0
