Does redundancy also mean letting you go and not strictly making redundant?

Unless you produced a medical certificate signed by a doctor for each time you were off, you DID self certify. The phrase means that you claimed to be sick with no third party verification.

And if you took more than 3 consecutive days off sick ever when you were in fact skiving, you DID also claim SSP, as this is paid automatically after the third day of absence.

Doesn't a PA actually have to be present to do their job then? When my PA phoned in sick as a lawyer it was a right royal pain in the !!! and work piled up in her absence which really needed to be done sooner (temps are limited in what they are able to undertake). So if you were unreliable your work was not fine, sorry. Hence why you were "made redundant" :D

Actually I did self certify twice (I had flu). The other times no. Sorry but I confused getting sick note from GP with self certifying.

It was proven next year at doctor after getting bronchitis (I never smoked) that I had asthma (yes you get this later as a female), I then had asthma nurse monitor me (still happens) and flu jabs and any colds I get now tend to be treatable with Lemsip max etc. oh I am also rarely off sick now.

I got a perfectly good reference re quality of work.

I hope you never have to suffer with asthma etc.

I am not sure what asthma has to do with anything!

In your first post on this thread you said you took time off work pretending to be sick when you were going out clubbing/recovering from a night out clubbing. Not that you were genuinely ill with asthma and needed more time off than those who don't have this.

THAT is what was dishonest and made you unreliable, not your asthma.

Give it up Nicki. Their former friend tried dropping a heavy hint. They didn't get it. They still don't. Not worth the effort.
  • Mischa, do you seem to think its acceptable to take days of ill due to clubbing?

    Seriously?

Called sickies and also I took as unpaid leave.

That was me many years ago. Criticise all you want.

Oh I 'get it' now and got it back then. I merely wanted clarification and others POV. I didn't ask to be criticised left, right and centre. I have never said I was perfect then nor am I perfect now.

Like I said before if I want advice I'll go to my current colleague, who used to be a barrister now a solicitor and specialises in employment law.

Don't worry have learnt how nasty others are here.

Doesn't make it right which you don't seem to accept?

Funny. It was you who said that if you wanted advice you'd take it from real professionals like me, KiKi or zzzLazyDaisy? Just checked... yes it was you. So do you want to qualify that with an "but only if they agree with me"?

And my observation is that you should certainly be aware of how nasty people can be on here. You often feature amongst the nasty ones.

Oh, and just a hint for free... if you ever need employment law advice I wouldn't suggest getting it from your "colleague" ,who is actually your employer! Or didn't you notice that?

Why start a thread asking people their thoughts about it then?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
